Uncharted franchise tops 17 million sales

Sony has announced that lifetime sales of all four Uncharted titles stood at 17,320,000 units as of April 13, 2012.





It revealed the latest sales data alongside an upcoming Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception Game of the Year Edition, which will feature Naughty Dog's award-winning cinematic adventure and all 14 additional pieces of DLC released to date. Here's a list of all the DLC included with the Game of the Year edition, which has yet to receive a price or release date:

Man, the Uncharted games made me feel like someone downloaded my brain and made a game that would match my wants, likes and needs perfectly.

I was a massive fan of #2 I think... though I played #2 before #1, so some of the mechanics of the first one bugged me a bit. Probably not a fair assessment.

All three plus the vita title though are my favorite games on any PlayStation device to date.

The first 2 were awesome and offered such a variety of gameplay. They had a bit of everything packed into them.

I'm waiting on the third game to drop to around $20 used, but I'm very much looking forward to playing it.

Not a surprise to see such high figures. It is one of the few games that have the story sucking me in as much as the actual gameplay. Which is...frankly near impossible for me to fall into.

Awesome news. Uncharted is a great franchise and definitely one i'd like to see expanded into next-gen and beyond. I own all three PS3 games and have played Golden Abyss, and none of them have disappointed me. Technically they are some of the prettiest games this generation, and mechanically they're solid (though admittedly some people are starting to find them a bit formulaic).

My only gripe with the series is that you fight the same enemies over and over again. I'd love to see a bit more variety, like the Tomb Raider games.
