My mage runs fire affinity +. The rest spells heal and buff. I think I got that one firebolt spell in there for a little extra boost. Going to real last fight tonight. Post game is hard lol makes me feel weak again because I'm not two shotting everything.

Any of you find out where to get white hydra scales? I need 4 to upgrade my mages staff.

My main pawn currently has:
High Ingle, High Comestation,High Anodyne
Jigh Spellscreen,Fire Affinity,High Brontide

Though with all the hellhounds running around and them being fire based.. I may need to rethink my setup. Was thinking of getting grapnel to try it out, but I think my magick archer with the Shadowshackle skill does that same thing. No use having two characters with the same skill.

I think hydras are random fights. Hellhound fire base guess ill get holy affinity and replace a spell with it.

lol that was a good ending.

Overall this was a very good game. This game is what Dragon Age 2 should have been. Cant wait to keep on in NG+ and do choices diff.

White Hydra I just found in the everfall and got scales from it. Tagilus Miracle I got from the peddlar at The Greatwall Encampment.

Ice huh. Ive been using holy. I will def look to switch out fire for ice post game when I get to it again. Those everfall dungeons can be brutal. 2 chimeras and a sorc lich ugh.

I haven't really tried holy, would have change my vocation back to mage. However the ice doesn't really work against succubi.
I'm quite enjoying them, however came up against two cockatrice and was like 'nope' and sauntered straight back out.

My mage is a beast. got all the everfall gear, wyrmking ring, sorc ability that lowers cast time, fir affinity, holy affinity, heals, buff, gets rid of debuff, and blinds those around her. I love her. Yesterday i got 180k in rift crystal because of people using her lol.

130k in RC today woot. Love people using my pawn.

And I just started NG+, was getting bored with everfall.

I played as a mage/sorc/magicarch for first playthrough so I know riding as a mystic knight would be good, but I really want to play strider too :/

Im going to create another PSN account when I get bored and make a Female toon. Sucks that they only let you do one save per account, but least no online pass and makes the game harder because you cant just load up a previous save.

Post game, go down the everfall. The 8th or so floor has the ur dragon, kind of looks like a bridge.

Succubi look nothing like you'd expect, infact they look near identical to harpys. As much of the pos tgame stuff they can be mildly annoying lol

You have to kill the Dragon to get into the Post Game everfall, where you can just farm the ever living crap out of the game. Post game is almost ludicrously hard. You use the same tactics as always, and if you pay attention you wont die, but everything has an ungodly amount of health. Chamber of Fate, I believe, is where you get some of the rarest materials. The room has a random pool of enemies it generates. First time I rolled in there I got a Wraith (Whatever those skeleton mages are) a Chimera, and a Gorechimera along with a boat load of adds. The second time I went in I just got a Drake lol.

I didn't even bother farming mats yet, I just started a New Game+ so I can level without constant grinding. And change my ending so I don't end up with Madeline, who I guess loves the hell out of you for being nice. On a real note though, get to the post game. I loved the first 3/4s of the game, but the final 3-4 hours of the game are phenomenal.

But damn you guys have rocketed through this game, I am still only level 34 and have yet to meet the duke yet, trying to do any other side quests that are available first.

Wish Rift crystals were useful, I dont like to hire really high leveled pawns and the only decent thing to buy at the "Rift shop" was the ability to customize me and my pawn as many times as I want. Got way too much of it X_X

Also, if your into trophies - like me - before you beat the game and go to NG+ write down all your completed quests and google search how many you are missing. Your quest book gets wiped so you dont know which ones your missing for "the hero" ><

Apparently your pawn is level 58.

Some of the pawns in this game are just nasty. There was one that looked just like a kid with just a silver chestplate (looks exactly like a bra) and silk lingerie on.. I was pretty grossed out.

It's pretty funny you say that, my Pawn (Gwynn) is my tank, and my first play through I intentionally made her a kid (like early teens), but I kept her in full armor none of that Silk Lingerie shit. I got over 100RC with my first playthough, and people using her pretty consistently. On my NG+ I made her grow up a bit, taller, more mature voice, etc. And I have actually noticed a pretty significant drop in people using her.

Though, admittedly it doesn't help I skipped the Everfall on the first go around so the second will be easier. So she only has the Everfall Sword (because I forgot to buy the shield).

okay so I put about an hour and a half into this game just now )

I REALLY like it but I'm just looking for some general tips/things to look out for. I'm still in the early areas of the game just doing random quests and looking around, only like level 6. The demo was meh.. but the game is awesome I'm so glad I picked it up

Tips: do all the quest you can. Forgo doing any escort quest from board till your like lvl 20 and when you do them follow the road never stray. Non escort missins keep off the road and explore. Pick a class max it voaction then switch to another in same line. They will give you diff core skills you may use. Always upgrade items when you can. Never give gear to the other two pawns you get from the rift. Just worry about you and your main pawn. Make sure everyone has a latern and a flask of oil. Save often!!!! Explore everything it is a big world with lots of stuff to find. First play through during a mission where a guy is going to court make dam sure you find him innocent. It is a timed quest so focus on it. When you get the golden idol give it to weapon seller first playthrough. The quest is to escort the court guy daughter so if you see it and says golden egg wait to do it till after trial. Give madelin the silver idol. SAVE OFTEN!!! Exploer!!!! Always have curatives on you. Large nut + harpsun sauce make a curitive that heals entire party.
