Here is an update on Dark Arisen DLC
Capcom revealed a few details on the plan to continue Dragon's Dogma, the 2013 expansion pack "Dark Arisen." The DLC will feature the requisite "more stuff" you'd expect, packing in new armor and weapons, greater character customization options and a Japanese voiceover option, because nothing screams medieval fantasy like Japanese dialogue.
"Dark Arisen" will allow you to transfer your save file from Dragon's Dogma vanilla and takes adventurers to a new dungeon located in the Bitterblack Isle, Capcom-Unity says. It may not be the safest travel destination, but we hear Bitterblack's shopping district is a real must-see.

Dragon's Dogma is a sweet game. Except for the whole 'Ser' spelling thing...but I'll forgive it for rocking a J-Rock tune that was from the 1990s.

Isnt abyssinal the purple scaley set from the dragon? I think I got a spare set, I'd have to check. Why do you want it so bad?
Think I got the save in the cloud so hopefully that means I can trade both my sets, if I got the right ones, and I wont be out the set I use in my character

ok I hired your pawn, equipped it, killed some globins, then rested twice. Thank god your on my friend list, would of been insanely expensive to hire you otherwise.. lol

Haha yeah they get stupidly pricy. Even a pawn 5 lvl above me is nearly 1mill to hire.

http://www.oxm.co.uk/49552/dragons-d...ons-dogma-dlc/Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen content will not be sold separately as Dragon's Dogma DLC
There's trouble afoot, Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen fans. Posting on Capcom Unity, the publisher's senior vice-president Christian Svensson has revealed that the only way to get at the expanded edition's new areas, items and classes is by buying the full thing. That's to say, none of the additional content will be separately available as DLC.
"We went round and round with the team on this topic as [releasing the Dark Arisen content as DLC] would have been a preferred option from our standpoint too," Svensson wrote, in response to a reader complaint. "As it turns out, I'm sorry but unfortunately there were major technical limitations that would couldn't allow for a digital upgrade path.
The original game was just not designed to be expanded (no hooks in the original code) and so a full-game delivery mechanism was the only option." "We also tried to explore a number of mechanisms to try and otherwise put this full product in original owners hands at a discount digitally," he added, "but we would have run afoul of a few first party policies (not any first party's fault, t'was our fault).
"So instead, we're packing more than $20 worth of value in digital rewards for existing users: 100K rift crystals (which in DDDA have a LOT more uses than they did in DD vanilla) the Gransys armor pack and the unlimited Ferrystone.

Great post krazey. I see this new one as a goty type. Sucks they couldn't release as dlc but they are giving us a bunch of bonus items. Least they not charging full price for it.

I love this game too, it is the same feeling when I played Dragon Age:Origins, this game is amazing and unique in most ways. Yet what capcom did with SF is the most shameful thing I have seen in this industry. They are going to try the samething with this amazing game...
I am sure there is no one who would believe this $hit...As it turns out, I'm sorry but unfortunately there were major technical limitations that would couldn't allow for a digital upgrade path.(•_•)

Yikes. That really blows for early supporters. I was planning on getting this game some time after Ni No Kuni, but I guess I'll wait until the DA-Expansion version releases before jumping on board.
Feel really sorry for you guys, though. Hopefully their compensation helps you somewhat.
