DOA is by far the best fighting game.

They won't mess up DOA5 like they did NG3 because Hayashi-san isn't overseeing DOA5 like he did NG3. Take Dead or Alive Dimensions for example, some moves were omitted, some were added, and it still gave you the DOA experience along with a followable story to boot, and it was made after Itagaki-san quit.

From what I've seen from the DOA5 premium demo and this video, character selection is now going to be a more important part of the enjoyment of the game as a whole. Things like Bayman's strike to throw combos can really change a person defensive and offensive strategy to presumably make for exciting matches.

They're trying to tone down the sex appeal to get rid of the tits n ass fighter labeling. It's sad that some people see it that way because DOA has always had enjoyable gameplay.

DOA has never had blood. My guess is that Team Ninja saves it for Ninja Gaiden games lol.

I'm not as good at fighting games as I used to be because my aging reaction time (I'll be 34 in June) doesn't allow me to keep up with them. Dead or Alive is the exception despite being the fastest paced fighting game, on DOA4 I maintained a B online rank despite having to square off with guys that were a lot more capable than me. That's the beauty of Dead or Alive, it isn't all about remembering combos and reaction time; you have to stay on your toes because attacks can be reversed.
