Xbox 360 on top in the US and 3DS the frontrunner in Japan
http://www.computerandvideogames.com...VG-General-RSSPS3 is the top-selling console in Europe so far this year, according to Nintendo estimates based on market research data.
Sony's console almost sold over 50,000 units in each of the first 14 weeks of the year, according to Nintendo (check out the chart on the right). Vita also sold over 200,000 units in its launch week, but sales quickly dipped. In the US, Xbox 360 has been the best-selling home console for 15 straight months, and Iwata said the console has retained "the momentum it created at the end of last year" so far in 2012. He also pointed out that "3DS has the largest share in the US handheld game market".
Iwata said of the Japanese market: "In the previous year-end sales season, the Japanese game market witnessed explosive sales of the Nintendo 3DS, and this momentum has been maintained.
"On the other hand, since this year started, we have seen the Wii sales quickly losing momentum. In the home console market this year, Sony's PlayStation 3 remains in good shape."

Now if Sony can only do that good worldwide. Especially with MS outselling them worldwide in 2011.

Prepare for meltdowns if these next gen console rumors are true. Phase 1: Denial. Phase 2: Mask a lie under "opinion" vs a fact. Phase 3: Bring up the PS3/360 era when it has nothing to do with the subject. Phase 4: Say that the power gap doesn't matter but constantly defend the weaker specs.

At least Sony has got something to be happy about, let's hope they can keep it going.
"When I was 12, I milked my eel into a pot of turtle stew. I flogged the one-eyed snake, I skinned my sausage. I made the bald man cry into the turtle stew, which I believe my sister ate. At least I hope she did."

I've noticed that a lot more people have PS3's when compared to the early years, it just proves that price matters when buying a gaming console. Now you can pick up a PS3 for the same price as a 360.

PS3 is dominating Europe.
It's funny that in this day in age people can steal as long as they have a reason too. Even if that reason is created by the thieves themselves.
