What smash bro appeal to all ages. I would say yes but the core xbox audience(fps, action) would prob not go for it. Sales might be poor.

I hope they don't waste time or resources. SSB was fun but we didn't need a second and definitely don't need a third character beat em up game.

They don't have enough characters to justify a $60 game unless they get a ton of multiplat characters. Right now they could do:
•Master Chief (Halo)
•Arbiter (Halo)
•Sparrow (Fable)
•Reaver (Fable)
•Gareth (Fable)
•Hammer (Fable)
•Marcus Fenix or another COG (Gears of War)
•Skorge (Gears of War)
•Kaim (Lost Odyssey)
•Some characters from N3 and N3II
Too many characters from the same franchises.

but a create a character is pointless, to just fill up space, if their is so little to play with

This won't happen. MS simply don't have enough iconic 1st party characters.

Instead of copying games they need to come up with something original.

Hmm...
Two new games trying to use the SSB formula. For some reason I can't see either games beating SSB at what it does best.
