Black Ops 2 thread - What do you want to see?

Okay, so the news is out...Black Ops 2 is on its way.

What do you hope from it in terms of new features?

What I want to see is innovate, not just add Jets trying to copy BF and some shitty robots which look like the most awful machines I've ever seen.

I would like to see them go back to a simpler cod, like it was in cod4. I'm tired of all these overpowered killstreaks and perks every year. It takes the skill out of the game when you can just call in an overpowered killstreak and get easy kills.

4 player co-op...4 player split screen with bots. If this happens, I will be happy.

But I am stoked that this is being taken in a different direction then the others.

i find myself returning to cod4 for precisely those reasons. no need to worry about wheather your going to get bummed by a fuckin missile to the face cos some twat has camped his way to a 21 kill streak. just shoot n move...simple gameplay = massive win.

I'm torn on what my hopes are from this game. While I'm bored with the current formula for success, I realize that it's been used so frequently because it really is a fantastic formula that addicted me for hours and hours of time a few years back. For me, one of the best things Treyarch and Activision could do would be to really buckle down and prepare this game for hackers. One of the things that has ruined the franchise for me is the onslaught of hackers that can show up at virtually any time.

Another thing I would like to see in Black Ops II would be some simplification; I think that the developers have continuously added more and more to their games with each installment in an attempt to make them better, but in the process they've simply added far too much. A prime example is the constant addition of more and more levels... seriously? I know a lot of people love leveling, but I think the line needs to be drawn somewhere.

Like I said, I'm torn in the direction the game should go, but I think Treyarch really needs to focus on the fundamentals and on curbing hackers. I'd rather have a few really unique and functional weapons than a plethora of nearly identical ones.

Absolutely! Not going to hold my breath though, that's asking a lot this day and age.

But for me, just do three things...

- Turn off that fucking Auto-Aim assist
- Allow Lag compensation to die in a fire
- Don't make the host suffer for being the host

I want a lengthy single player campaign. Black ops 1 had a good story that really stood out from the other game IMO. So hopefully with all the "choices" they implement in the story, and the "branches", it should last longer then the usual 4 hours.

I couldn't care less about the multiplayer in Call of Duty, i've barely touched any of them to be honest, only for review purposes for MW2.

I'd love them to expand the single-player component more, which i'm pleased to see they seem to be doing with the whole branching storylines aspect. Hopefully the actual game length will be expanded on, and i'd love to see Reznov again, although I highly doubt that will happen given the events that transpired in Black Ops 1.

But yeah, flesh the story out more, give us wider environments and improve the AI too.
