Persona 4 Golden for Vita arrives in North America this autumn

Atlus announced this morning that it'll publish Persona 4 Golden for the PlayStation Vita this fall in North America. The remake was announced for Japan late last summer, and now those across the Pacific will be able to enjoy it without a significant foreign language education.

The Vita edition contains several upgrades from Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 4, the original, critically acclaimed PlayStation 2 title that came late in the console's life. Persona 4 Golden will receive visual and audio upgrades, including more voice dialogue, and an "online dungeon rescue feature" for players about to die in the alternate world. Finally, the developers have added new events, new personas and another character in "Mary."

Update: Folks noticed at the way bottom of the official Persona 4 Golden website that there was trademark information for Kinect, Xbox 360 and PS3. Imaginations flared. Atlus tells Joystiq, "Just a simple copy/paste issue. P4G is releasing exclusively for PS Vita."

You're missing out man! I'm currently playing Persona 3 in my PSP since my PAL PS2 won't play PS2 games here. Can't effing wait for this!

i started playing 3 on the PS2 but lost interest, just had heaps of other games to play at the time.

I will DEFINITELY play through this version of 4 since its on the Vita. I find RPGs being portable heaps easier to play..

Hopefully an EU date isnt far behind

Even though I beat Persona 4 like a bazillion times(4 or so times actually), I'll play it again because I know I'll enjoy it. The bad thing is that I won't be able to transfer all the strong persona I've accumulated in the PS2 version(Farewell, Lucifer with Victory Cry) ;_;

Edit: If you have a Vita, buy it!.

I started playing Persona 4 since I heard so much about it.6 hours in and the game is AMAZING. The story is very intriguing.
I think I'll get a vita so I can play this

Just dumped another hour into it.This just keeps opening up more and more. I guess its a good excuse to get a vita now

Once I beat the game I plan on watching the anime too.It improves many scenes supposedly
