Original Deus Ex coming to PS3 (PS2 Classics) says PEGI

    The original
    Deus Ex
appears to be heading to PlayStation 3.

The as yet unannounced title has appeared on the website of European age ratings body
    PEGI.

The entry is for 'Deus Ex' on PS3, with an age-rating of 16.

It's likely that the game will be PSN release of a port of the PS2 title Deus Ex: The Conspiracy, which IGN gave 7.9. The game featured minor changes from the PC original, including new opening and closing cinematics, a simplified interface, and improved graphics.

The release date for the new PS3 version is listed as May 1st, but no official details have been released.
    Source

This will be a PS2 Classic if anything, don't expect a HD remake.

I don't mind, I'm buying it! I almost beat this game. I was so close to having NERVES OF STEEL.

I reported this for PSU yesterday, but yeah, good news as far as i'm concerned. I never played the original Deus Ex, so i'm eager to see what all the fuss was about back in the day.

Definitely gonna check this out if I have time!

I've already completed Deus Ex on the PC. One of my favorites.

PS2 version is more polished (unless you download the PC HD pack) Like Half Life on PS2 had the HD Pack on it. Both games also have KB/M support.

I own the disc too but will still buy the digital version and sell my disc on ebay to pay for it. Prefer having games run off my HDD tbh.

PS2 is dirt cheap these days. I bought a brand new one just to be able to play Killzone 1.
Almost everyone will say: buy console that has games that you want, and those who say otherwise are ignorant.

    Playstation Move for the win!

My PS2 still works but I haven't purchased a PSone/PS2 classic from the PlayStation Store since they re-released Grandia (first time playing it). Usually when it comes to console games, I prefer to own a physical copy.

It'll be exactly the same as the PS2 version was. Running off the HDD, it might be slightly better but I doubt it. Don't remember any framerate problems with it though.

Great, will put my original PS2 disc on amazon. I only paid £3 used for it ages ago anyway, which it should easily make.

It's only 1.3GB, thought it would be 2GB+.

Not so bad. The Steam version of Deus Ex is 719 MB.

The PS2 version has better textures and cutscenes which would explain it. The PS2 version was on a DVD whereas Half Life (which was also superior to the PC version) was only on a PS2 CD ROM.
