its my most anticipated game in a LONG time, possibly even this gen.

but honestly - who the hell cares if its a ps3 exclusive??? looking like that it could be on the wii for all i cared, i'd still lap it up.

consoles are so cheap, and its so late in the gen, that i really don't understand why the platform is even important enough to think about anymore, let alone mention - especially when the game looks that much fun.

anyway, it really looks like they've spent the time creating a sequel that warhawk deserved - already got a good group of mates ready to play the shit out of it.

Day fugging 1! This game looks amazing. I think it will replace BF3 as my MP game of choice.

Also, re: what J3ff3 said, of course it doesn't matter who makes and publishes this game, it rocks hard, plain and simple. However, Sony deserves kudos and recognition for their efforts in securing badass and unique content for their customers. Just my view on it.

Those battles look really intense, I mean wow, epic stuff. Sadly I'm not near my PS3 enough to justify getting a game primarily for online. Perhaps I'll be picking this one up later down the road.

I loved the beta, but got kinda burnt out on it for some reason. The trailer is kickass though. Definitely gonna pick this one up.

i'd understand if consoles were relatively new and great exclusives boosted the user base and dev support,

but realistically why should that matter now to those that have ps3s on a ps3 forum when the user base is so high?

dont' get me wrong, sony deserve alot of kudos for their approach to games development, but surely the excitment in this thread should be for the game, not its exclusivity...

I think it is J3ff3 Well it is for me, I like the games art style and mechanics. I have been going to one of the many game outlets here in Austria who have released certain titles days early (Uncharted 3 and Skyrim being two) in the hopes they put Starhawk out early, alas no luck...today.

You realize theres a single player and coop mode right? I am going to Walmart at midnight tonight to pick this up. I have barely touched my ps3 since the beta ended.

The thing is that I mostly live at college, while my PS3 stays at home. I'm only home for summer about a week before going back for summer school. Then I have about a month or more before fall semester. I generally come home about once a month (some times more). I've been doing most of my gaming on my laptop lately playing Fallout 3 again with mods, Skyrim (obtained through certain means... can't justify buying it twice at full price), Braid, and Limbo.

The multiplayer in Starhawk is amazing, and that's the real draw here. The campaign will be good/okay, but this is no singleplayer centric game. Also the living room TV messed up at my house and my parents have put my flat screen in the living room which gets plenty of use. It just isn't the best time for me to be buying PS3 games. That said I'll be picking up Bioshock Infinite and The Last of Us for sure, and Starhawk as long as it gets a good strong gaming community like it deserves.

I played well over 100 hours of Warhawk, that COD4 and R:FoM were the best and most addicting MP games for me. Since then I've barely touched the online modes on any game... Hopefully I'll get as addicted to Starhawk as I did Warhawk.

I really like how it has a campaign now too, so I can get eased into the MP

Sony has announced that those redeeming their Starhawk Online Network pass will get the original Warhawk PSOne for FREE.

“All you have to do is redeem your Starhawk Online Network pass, which can be found on the back of your Starhawk Manual. The game will then automatically appear in your download list,” says a post on the PS Blog.

Oh wow, I thought it was only for a special edition. That's pretty mad. Though i DID buy the physical version for $8 last month.. just cause
