Starhawk first impressions

Got my copy today))
and after first missions this game is AWESOME!!! fast, smooth,not bad AI!
build and battle works great, cant wait to test it in MP!! not fly on hawks in beta, but in final game i like it, it more responsive that in warhawk. visuals is not on KZ3 lvl, but it looks good. and comics like cut scenes add something to this game. for me its like a breath of fresh air in gaming, because im tired from all modern time shooters

Yeah I can't wait to get mah mits on this game. Possible flagship title for the PS3? I think all the reviews are gonna rave about MP, it got MP game of E3 last year IIRC, and it was up against the big guns.

Doesn't this game deserve its own section? I mean this is the sequel to Warhawk, and for what I've seen so far (I'll get my copy after work), it has a long lasting appeal. The SP seems meh, but the MP is amazing. I can see people playing this game for years.

Starhawk getting it's own section just depends on its popularity and the amount of threads on the forum. It will get one if it ends up warranting one

This is a Santa Monica Studio's game, exclusive to PS3 and it has a MP system like no other game before. You could say MAG was an innovation regarding the number of players online, and this game will be a mark for MP shooters. It has introduced a new buid it in real time while you're in battle system, that lets you build buildings, weapons and other stuff while the battle is taking place, that's truly amazing. That one thing alone makes this game a must buy for any shooter fan on day one.

I agree with you that the game is going to be fantastic, I can't wait to pick up my pre-order

But that still doesn't mean it warrants its own section just yet, we just have to wait and see if its activity warrants one, its how it has always worked

I'm already seeing the possibilities of this game...Team coordinated construction of preplanned defense and offense structures would be very satisfying for me.

I could really geek out on that kinda shit lol. Can't wait to get my hands on this, all other MP games have lost their appeal to me, I just want Starhawk.

and now it time for some MP impressions!!
it fast, fun, and freaking hard!!!! without good teamwork its almost impossible to win the game!! also my advise is pass game without any AA turrets because in that case game became highly unbalance.
at this moment is one of the best MP games on the market

This is hands down the best multiplayer game for the PS3. On top of that you have some of the best developers in the world working on it. I cant think of any devs who are so engaged with the fans and really listen to our feedback. People really need to support these guys so they keep making awesome games for us

Hi all,

Been away from PS3 for a year or so and im looking at coming back as fancy a change. Im gonna pick up a few titles and Starhawk is one im looking at. It it anything like Warhawk (which I loved) as the trailers look nothing like it that I have seen?

it's updated version of Starhawk with build system, more responsive controls and deeper strategy. some tactics still works, but in games with turets hawks is not overpowered, like they was is Warhawk.
