Good to see the PS3 doing well. Inn not too worried about the future, Kaz seems to know what he's doing. I'm actually more excited seeing how they will be focusing more on the products that work. Gaming being one of them, interested to see what they will do.

Anyone been seeing more Sony commercials lately? I've been seeing the camera and tablet commercials a lot.

They should be ok in the long run but PS4 will put more pressure on them because of the possibility of losing more money.

Massive profits? Has it been out long enough for that? I'm sure profits will come but it will mostly be to get them back to where they were.

100X1.8 mil. It won't have covered R&D, marketing etc. just yet but it's better than any console they've previously released considering they always launch at a loss.

Last generation is over so who cares? And this gen is almost over too. You yourself even said in the other thread that nobody will care about this gens numbers when we're using the PS4 and the 720. So why would we care anymore what Sony did or didnt do last gen? Its a different market now.

Big difference between margin ($100) and profit ( revenue - expense). Once we know the development costs, manufacturing costs, shipping costs, marketing costs, then we will know if they made a profit. Sony forecasts 3 years.

Yep, but its certainly better than any previous Sony console, all of which have made a loss on their hardware from launch.

That is true. I essentially look at it as an updated PSP with new features. I think some of the R&D wasn't too bad from the start since they had something to work off of.
