Assuming Polyphony Digital follow their trend of releasing two Gran Turismo titles every console generation, what do you think we should expect from Gran Turismo 6? Or do you think Kazunori Yamauchi will break the trend and release it for the PlayStation 4? And would you say Gran Turismo 5 met consumer expectations?
Personally, I'm hoping to hear something about a sequel soon. It's one of the titles that I'm expecting Sony to unveil at E3 this year.

A 2033 release date.
I would love to see a completely polished GT6 release on the PS3. Don't just add more content, use what you have and fix all the problems, polish it.
I still play GT1 to this day because everything about it was just that awesome.

I'm crossing my fingers for the long-sought addition of raptors to the game.

I think we might also see Sony announce a Gran Turismo HD collection for the PlayStation 3. It would include Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec, Gran Turismo 4 and the Gran Turismo game for the PSP.

I've completely forgotten about GT. I can expect a new one around the end of the next generation.
Hopefully more CARS, less of the same model, and all premium vehicles, no HD touch-ups.__________

This series peaked on PS2, regardless of how much better the graphics get. Same goes for Forza on Xbox. Once you've reached every smallest detail in your simulation, where is there left to advance besides graphics? The ability to adjust your mirrors? Add some truly spectacular crash effects maybe, or the raptor thing is a good idea...but then the fans will cry "It's not GT!"
My get-rich-quick (or actually quite slowly and after a lot of work) scheme was to make a videogame developer's database that included the game-relevant specs, sounds and images of every suitable car ever made, then let any race-game developer pay you to access it on a continuing basis as it gets updated. It wouldn't necessarily help Gran Turismo, I guess, but it would be cool to get rich this way.
Shut up and play games

Well, I think GT6 will be saved for PS4, and possibly at launch too..I remember the director of the game saying that his game was "too good" for this generation or something along the lines of that. Yeah, I get where a lot of people were pissed off because of the standard cars over the premium cars, but for me that was a dream come true. I liked that they had over 1,000 cars in the game, but I am a little pissed that a 100 or so are variations of a Nissan. Those could have easily been replaced with different cars. And Porsche are assholes for not allowing their cars to be in the game, but they're a-ok with their cars in Need For Speed (dafuq?)
Which I would instantly buy.

GT5 is everything that is wrong with this gen and gaming's future. The stronger hardware gets, the longer and costlier it takes to develop for. GT5 is a good game but it feels light compared to previous versions despite a 30 year dev cycle. Why that is, I dont know other than my hypothesis/opinion on current gaming in general.
I hope the next gen focuses less on pure graphical power than getting things like AI and physics up to the level of graphics. Nothing is worse than a great looking game hurt by horrible AI and physics. I seriously would not mind a complete stall in graphical power if games behaved more like the reality they so closely resemble now.
GT5 is just odd because it seemed to go the route of sports games in that it spends so much time on stupid features nobody uses rather than just being a driving sim. Think of how a game like NCAA Football has stuff like mascot games and trash nobody wants and yet they keep forcing it, wasting time that could be spent on making the GAME better. GT5 felt like that to me. Good but gimped for things Kart racing and half-a**ed nascar. Either go all out or keep it out. Also, sucks to be in a glorious current gen car and then have to drive a car graphically ripped from the PS2 era. Make them all one level or not at all. In many ways, GT5 is the poster child for what is wrong with gaming when you have too much expectation due to the money it takes to create on machines so strong. That will mean less and less games in the long run as nobody wants to risk the cash of a failure.
IMO, make GT6 look like the premium cars of GT5 even if its on the PS4. Then, work to make it the most realistic driving experience from an AI and physics standpoint. Finally, just have the features and system of GT3/4. Make a feature full out of leave it out.

Trim out the crap. GT5 tried to do too many things and ended up doing some really really badly.
Cut loose some poor features, like B-Spec and divert time into making the core experience better - the driving.
The UI needs a complete redesign to be more user friendly, too.

pretty much agree with this, rallying, Top Gear licence use and Nascar were half baked at best in GT5, and the full damage model, time of day change and weather change effects are hardly ever used in the main game mode.
And the UI is so disjointed, there should be a race season mode, not just one off events
but i disagree about B-spec mode, i love managing my virtual stig racing team, and where is the drag racing from GT4, that would've been awesome in multiplayer. Now Playing: Ni No Kuni, X-COM, Hitman

What to expect.
GT5 cars and tracks imported into GT6
Insane amount of time spent on making the cars look good.
Game engine neglected so struggles 30FPS
I would have preferred them to put more detail into the circuits than the cars right now most of them are bland and basic looking.

i think it'll be saved for PS4. They should just be supporting GT5 and with car/track packs and maybe new modes.

More car variety, especially more European vehicles.
All cars premium, or at least with a decent cockpit view... no more things like this:

This is a bad joke for a game like GT!!
More events where i can drive the car i want.
Improved online.
Anyway, i'm not expecting to hear anything about a GT6 anytime soon. Probably ps4 game.

They also had a free roam idea in mind for the next game, which I would absolutely love to be implemented.
