http://www.inentertainment.co.uk/201...ty-on-ps-vita/There is no doubting the Call of Duty franchise can help Sony sell a few extra PlayStation Vita’s, although how significant the game could be to the PS Vita is currently unknown. When the Vita first launched we tried to get our hands on the best first person shooter games, although the choice is extremely lacking with Unit 13 being our first purchase in this genre, so we’d welcome Call of Duty with open arms.
Some gamers feel COD for PS Vita is not a necessity – it’s fair to say there are plenty of other good games on the Vita that can help shift units, even if they’re mostly not FPS, and it’s the stern view of some gamers that Call of Duty would be nice but they won’t cry if it didn’t arrive or failed.
The PS Vita’s power and handling COD: Black Ops 2 – having spent a few hundred hours hands-on with the PS Vita it’s clear this is the most powerful handheld gaming device to date, which is why it surprises us when certain bloggers state the Vita might not handle Black Ops 2. This is what Robert Workman looks at when he asks if the Vita could handle Call of Duty: Black Ops 2? In his blog post he touches on the kind of community the next COD game could create for Vita users, and how the cross-play possibilities would be amazing for PS3 owners (something we would love to see with FIFA 13).
One thing he fails to understand is that the game has already been confirmed for the PS Vita, although we’re yet to see any real details and a detailed look at how it handles on the Vita, so we know it’s coming and we’ll find out how well it handles soon enough.
How much do you think Call of Duty will help to sell more PS Vita’s? The real issue is the significance of Call of Duty to the majority of gamers, especially those that either want to buy the Vita at some point, or already own the device. I will buy COD for Vita and expect it to help sales, but to be honest I’d rather see Battlefield 3 and its newer engine made for Vita – how about you? While this is my personal opinion it’s clear the following COD has could make a nice package for PS Vita over Christmas, which is the perfect time for COD to help Sony’s handheld.
Bottom-line: The PS Vita should handle Black Ops 2 thanks to its engine not being hardware demanding, and we’d buy it on the Vita for zombies alone, which is perfect for when on the move. Our recent 3 week cruise included some time with FIFA Football for Vita and the graphics were almost the same as the PS3 version, although it would have been better if we had Black Ops 2 zombies as well.
We’d also like to point out that we agree with a number of our readers that want Call of Duty for PS Vita as a fresh game and not a console port, and then mix that with zombies for success in our books.

With me being a huge Call of Duty fan, it would be awesome if it was ported to the Vita. They just have to give me a reason to buy the Vita version over the Console versions, as all my friends are going to get the console versions. In the end, a Call of Duty game couldn't hurt on the Vita. Win-Win for everyone.

CoD would be sweet on the vita if they allowed it so one person could play on the ps3, the other on the vita and both play online at the same time.
