To be honest i prefer 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3. We have mostly midfielders so we must find a formation that uses that as an advantage.

The thing is most teams stack up the Midfield so it would bring more Traffic into the Final third with there Defenders

That is why as a CAM in the final third i was going wide so i could bring defenders with me, consequently opened up space for the others players.

That is why im telling you to play as a second striker, deep lying forward or whatever you want to call it. Because we have been playing 4-2-2-2 (still not comfortable totally with it), is very easy for us to miss a link between midfield and the Strikers. You could play in the striker position but always fall back to link up, personally i felt we were missing that. That is why the guys we played CAM were going always inside to try to create a link between CMs and the attack.

Fair comment, which formation do you prefer the most? I honestly think having 2 strikers with only 1 and another AI is usually wasted. I usually play a deep forward role in CAM anyway but gives me the ability and more all round stats to defend (I usually play LCM and rarely CAM before now)

I think the 4-2-3-1 formation with 2 DM's 3 CAMS and 1 ST could work as mentioned, the mid stack up anyway, you got 3 CAMS with which provides more width.

ive' always Said play a Lone Striker formation till we get a real striker/s so we got more players back to help out on Defence & flood the Middle but w gotta use the wings more often especially when the Other teams beat us to the Ball in Games pass back & use the wings to Open them up

Thanks, i was surprised with the goal. We were inside the are, the other VP was about to be one one and he crossed the ball, and my 1-73 VP scored the header .
