well im in total agreement with dave. Again, I think for one reason or another, you've told yourself to focus on the wrong things. the pillar punch was 100% for show, not substance. therefore, it does not require an shouldnt be scrutinized. But if you want realism, these films are much more ambitious in terms of story than any other superhero movie out there. I am personally MUCH happier to brush off little things like column punches and flaming bat signals in return for such intricate and layered stories.

Few things that came into my head earlier today:

So, at the end when the engineer tells Fox that the autopilot had been fixed/last used 6 months ago by Bruce Wayne - does it mean he fixed the autopilots in all of The Bats? Obviously the one he was using, that carried the bomb out of Gotham got blown to pieces, so it seems weird how the engineer can track that Bruce had used the autopilot on the blown up Bat via an unused Bat.

Also, Bane set about stealing all of the resources that are available to Batman....except The Bat(s)? You'd think they'd be in the same hold as the tumbler's, and if not, Bane had seen The Bat earlier in the film so why couldn't he or his army get their hands on them during the course of those few months where Batman was recovering in prison?

There wasn't enough Alfred in this film . But the scenes involving him were very good.

I liked how Nolan held back the Batman for as long as he did in this one. I enjoyed the focus on just Bruce Wayne. But, I gotta say, when he did finally appear on the Batpod in that chase scene and the music kicked in, it was exhilirating. I also liked Blake's older cop partner who was saying things like "oh you're in for a show now!", I love that shit lol

There were so many great moments in the film.

The plot was the absolute weakest of the three man. I mean the whole "count down to nuclear explosion" has been done before, and arguably better.

The bomb was just one aspect of the story, the whole thing and the way it was executed was fantastic.

Enjoyed reading everyones comments on here even the ones that were just scrutinizing the film to death! Some people just put expectations too high and compared way too much to TDK and Heath's performance. I loved Bane and Tom Hardy's performance was breath taking, who could show so much emotion with having most of his face covered the entire time! I thought TDKR brought the films all together beautifully.

I absolutely loved it, best trilogy IMO!!!

Watched the film yesterday.

Still not sure if Bane is as good as the joker. He is more intimidating since he beats the shit out of batman. While the joker could be taken down fairly easy.

But still enjoyed it immensely.

They're different kinds of villains, different kinds of terrorists. I liked Bane a lot and he is my favorite of Batman's enemies, but no one could never be Heath's joker. It was so pure.

It was a good film, (I kept asking myself why doesn't Batman call Superman ). But yes, good film, although I like the game more.

Finally I can talk about this film. I had been avoiding spoilers for the two years of its production, and I pretty much did it. Therefore, I shall put my thoughts in spoiler tags just in case anyone is in here who hasn't seen the film yet.

With this being the last one in the Nolan series, I went into it thinking that anything literally could happen, and the trailers suggested that Batman would die by the end of it, so I actually believed it at first, and I have to commend Michael Caine on his crying scene by Bruce Wayne's tombstone.

I've heard that some people were annoyed that he left the Batman character to JGL, but that honestly didn't bother me at all. In the comics, other people had played the Batman persona, so it wasn't straying out to absurdity.
My main problem was Catwoman killing Bane and then throwing in a cheesey line. Like my brother said, the whole rivalry between Batman and Bane had been built up so much that it would only really have felt right if Batman somehow brought Bane to his demise, even though he probably wouldn't have killed him, and no prison could probably have held him [Bane]. It was only after a few minutes after Catwoman had hit him that I thought to myself, "Surely Bane couldn't had survived a shot from the Batpod...", and then I thought that was crap.

Other than that I was quite happy with it, and even though I sound like a Marvel hater, I love the fact that the film had a story and thick plot to it, rather than some of Marvel's film where they focus more on the pyrotechnics and display.
I agree, reading some posts in here that there are loopholes, like how and why didn't Bane's crew get the Bats, but overall, it was pretty solid and a nice fitting way to end it.

On a sleaze-ball note, I have to say that Marion Cottilard's cleavage looked great, and I knew from the moment I heard that she was cast in it that she would be Talia. And also, I couldn't get enough of Anne Hathaway when she was Selina Kyle with her hair straight - I thought she looked so gorgeous.

But within the first few minutes of the film (the prologue) I couldn't stop laughing. I had heard that they had cleared up Bane's voice, but it was hilariously ridiculous! I assumed they literally had just made his dialogue clearer, but apart from the "Crashing this plane!" part, everything else had been re-recorded, and I laughed when he shouted out, "With no survivors!" because it was completely different. I heard maybe Nolan did that just as an "FU" to people as a lot of people were complaining a lot that they couldn't understand Bane, because throughout the rest of the film, he sounded pretty good and normal as to what it was when the prologue was shown back in December last year.

Great performances from Bale, Hardy, Caine and JGL. To see a tear falling from Hardy's face at the end when all was being revealed to Batman was a nice touch.

I'm happy!

It had some problems but this is a very, very good movie. The "plotholes" could be easily overlooked and honestly felt irrelevant to me for the most part (ex: I didn't care that we didn't see how Bruce got to Gotham since it's already known that he has a reputation and connections everywhere that wouldn't have evaporated that quickly like his money did). I could understand Bane just fine (with a few statements as minor exceptions)...etc etc. TDK is still the best, but this was a very good three-quel and this Trilogy is excellent from start to finish. I, too, am happy.

What a fantastic movie. I saw it with my friends the night after its release, and it was a great experience. Not only were the special effects state of the art, the acting brilliant, and the storyline fantastic, but there was an underlying narrative to the movie as well, with a lot of hot-topic societal issues popping up throughout the movie as well. The movie is reminiscent of the 99% against the 1% debate, and is what a lot of people said "Occupy Wall Street" should have been.

I hope this movie serves as an example of how a movie can be both extremely enticing and interesting, but at the same time discuss some of the big issues facing the United States in the twenty-first century.

However, can anyone explain to me what the beginning (aka the plane sequence) was all about? What did the blood transfusion do? And why was Bane one of the captives anyway? Who were the people in the plane?
