I think gamer reviews are a lot more consistent, and honest, than reviews from "journalist game reviewers"....
Most of the people on these forums, are the "reviews" I'd trust. Most of them are in this thread, adding Lethal_NFS as well.

Why should i (as a customer) care if it is their first FPS or the first FPS on vita etc.?

You aren't blowing anything out of proportion lol. It's all up for debate. There HAVE been positive reviews for the game, as well as negatives, so I feel like it's unfair to ignore the positives. But, i will purchase the game for myself and give my opinion later on, is that fair? :P

It's not about being lenient. It's about listening and watching reviews and taking into account your own wants and needs for the game. Sure, games have things that are considered bad by some reviewers. However, some things that are "bad" aren't the things that put games down for others.

Rayman is PERFECT for the Vita, it's so much fun and the bite sized levels are perfect for commutes or having a shiznit on the tizoillet.

IGN is not the only place that reviews games. Like I said before, this game is getting REALLY mixed reviews. I agree in the fact that mixed reviews are enough to turn people off because there is an uncertainty in the air about the game. For me, I choose to play it for myself. If its a shit game, its just a shit game ahah. In that case, I'll probably just trade it in or sell it for rayman origins

The only thing that REALLY concerns me is Destructoids reviews... it got a 2/10. Then on the other hand, Playstation LifeStyle gives it an 8.5. It's like, what the hell? I dont know what to think lol. Then when you go to the Metacritic User Reviews, it's receiving mostly positive ratings for users.

There's a family video across the street, and they dont even rent out Vita games. So pissed. I would have rented it first actually. (Which is the perfect solution in this case in my opinion.)

Here's the issue... it's personal. What this guy doesn't like about the game might not have the same issues with me, you, etc. Sure, listing or labeling things that are mediocre, or problematic are just fine. However, some of those things don't affect how some people choose to buy the game or leave it alone. If it's someone I know, that I have a lot of the same preferences as, then I can understand the review is going to have be more concerning for me on whether I buy the game or not.

I'm getting it regardless. Can't wait to try it out myself. The only way to ensure more FPS games keep coming to Vita is by supporting the ones coming out now anyway.
