Great tournament so far! 1st tournament I remember properly was italia 90. It along with euro 96 has been my favs until now. If the quarters and semis are as good as what has happened before, this could go down as best tournament ever. Quietly confident England can beat italy. There seems be some luck on englands side for once in a major tournament. And with rooney getting some game time and scoring as well. Things are looking good. That extra day rest could be pivotal. Even if england do get put out by germany, theres no shame in that. But germany could have an off day and like with chelsea if your names on the cup your names on the cup. COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!

You mean actually be there in the stadium? Nope. I wish. It does sound like it would be an epic experience.

Yeh it was incredible, never seen or heard anything like it, if you get the chance to go one day don't pass it up

Must be expensive as fuck. I would love to go though, obviously

It was getting there but Poland is soooo cheap, also averaging a tournament once every 10 years makes it easier on the wallet

Not sure how you can say referees are ruining the sport. It's part of the excitement.
Oh and fucking typical. England get a call in their favour and suddenly the powers that be want goal line technology. After England Germany they all unanimously rejected goal line technology.

Nothing wrong with the sport concerning the refs, especially in this topic. You have people bringing up the problems they consider "bad" even though they couldn't make these calls any better if they were in the action and not seated at perfect angles from their tv sets, while they are watching different camera angle views, slow mo, etc., to decide the call. ffs... if it isn't a call that a ref can make, it isn't a call.

Am not saying refs. are idiots ( although many are ) i know that they have to make a decision in less than a second and they don't have different camera angles to make better judgement. But that doesn't mean they don't make mistakes and those mistakes are ruining the game and costing teams a lot.To say otherwise is just stupid.
Go back to 2010 and look at how many mistakes refs. made that costed teams to go out, not Just England.

England didn't lose by just one goal in the end but you could argue that the game COULD have turned out differently...
Just kick out Italy and you'll get your chance for revenge
I'm already pumped for the quarter finals.
I'm sitting on a case of beer and expect some sweet ronaldo tears this evening

Portugal can't believe their luck. First the dutch didn't turn up so they strolled to second place in the group and their knock out opponents are the Czech's. If they don't win tonight their players should be arrested for professional negligence. Germany too, both have almost a free pass to the next round.

Great half.
Czech Republic 0 - 0 Portugal
I'm very surprised with the Czech's possession against this Portuguese midfield.
Moutinho, Veloso and Meireles are class.
The Jesus Christ looking guy for the Czechs has been the standout for their side.
Portugal were looking good their in the end. Ronaldo scares me.
I hope the Czechs can stay calm, attack more and pull off the upset.
I wonder if Rosicky will get minutes in the 2nd half.

Phuck any manager who keeps defending with 10 players for 90 minutes without the ability of counter attacks. They make football looks boring.
