The Pirlo pen was beyond class. Amazing! Obviously wanted England to win but the better team went through. Justice in a way. So meh. Shearer hit the nail on the head - we went out in the stage that represents us best - we're only 5th 6th 7th best team in the world. We're not up there with the likes of Spain, Germany and Italy.

Italy have surprised me though. I didn't give them a chance going into this tournament but they've looked pretty damn good. The scary thing is they didn't even have to use Di Natale yesterday! ( I rate that guy highly )

My prediction is that it will be Germany v Spain in the final, with Germany winning.

If England did get through. We'd have come up against a good team, we'd have been humiliated 4 or 5-0. We are not winning anything in the near future, frankly we may not even have a team due to the lack of English players coming through each year.

Nasri only apologized after he was threatned with suspension.. typical. He seems to be the main reason for the rift in the lockerroom.

After the loss against Spain he went through the interview zone (you know, that long corridor between the cloakrooms and the bus that players have to take and can choose whether or not to respond to the hordes of journalists here - players often just pass through it without even a look to them, it's very common).

Anyway, they ask him "can you give us your impressions and your feelings after this loss" and the likes.
He answers "No, because you always write shit about me".

A journalist from AFP (Agence France Presse) tells him to not generalize (the press haven't even been very vocal about Nasri in particular, I'm French and live in France, trust me on this). The journalists keep -gently- asking him to answer a few quick questions and he still refuses.

Then that same AFP guy tells him: "fine then, get out!" (casse-toi).
