All depends on how you use your system. If you buy games digitally (I don't) then you'd want the bigger HDD. But if you only rely on discs for your games then 160GB is more than enough.

I'd say if the price for the 320 is much higher then just get the 160. It took me over a year to almost fill up my 250gb and for half that year I was a PS+ subscriber too and downloaded 90% of the free shit available.
If you don't buy digitally or store videos/photos/music on your PS3 then 160 will be fine imo

I'd go for the 320 also man because even if your just using it for physical media the updates on those game when you play them stack on and eat up your memory. I was sifting though my memory on my ps3 the other night to clear up some space and there was 12gb memory worth of Black ops stuff and a lot of other useless stuff which i erased because i don't have the game anymore. If your getting dlc also you should get the 320 IMO I have a launch slim with little over about about 20gb left.

I went w/ 80GB back in 2007, I went about 3.5yrs before I ran out of space and ended up upgrading my HDD to 500GB ($10 more than a 320GB at that time which was about $5 more than a 160GB at the time.) I'm sure everything I have could still be held on 160GB today.
At the time I had been juggling around 30 or so demo's, and a couple downloaded games.
To be honest, unless you're downloading movies and keeping them there, or downloading lots of games, 160GB should be fine.

It's all gonna depend on how much you game. I've got the 160GB, and that is way more than enough for me. As others have said, patches and such can fill quickly, but that's only if you're buying lots of games. If you're gonna buy games every couple of months, like me, the 160GB should be just fine.

I agree with Ray. 160 (for me) is plenty but i don't buy games too often anymore. If your gonna buy a lot of games it'll start adding up. Consider how many games/movies/music your gonna download and how many games your gonna buy and make your decision.

Most disc games have mandatory installs. If you're going to buy Bethesda's games, they're 6GB+ each. Then you have MGS4, GTA4 etc. so relying just on disc will save space, but they'll still each HDD space. Unless you're fine constantly deleting stuff. There's been some good deals on the 320GB as of late, so I'm thinking at E3 Sony will announce the 320GB replacing the 160GB and introducing a 500GB at the price of the 320GB.

I'm still fine with my 60gb. I use my ps3 for disc based games along with demos, wipeout, burnout, mgs. And all the installs I'm still fine on space.

160gb is not at all enough space. You only get about 145gb of space to work with. Lots of games require up to 8gb of space for installation. And most full retail games you download will take up 8-15gb of space. After you download a couple games and install a few disc based games, you are already out of space.

I have 122 PS3 retail games and I've downloded over 50 PSN games on and off. I have a 120GB slim. I sometimes run out of space but just delete game data for games that I no longer play. If money is an issue, the 160GB should be fine you just need to manage the space here and there.
But it also depends on your gaming habits, if you're not gonna be playing THAT many games don't worry about the bigger HDD

320GB, its always better to have extra space then not enough space. With all the game installs, you'll fill up that HDD quicker then you may think.
