Pro Evolution Soccer will head to the next PlayStation and Xbox consoles via Kojima Productions' technically impressive next-gen Fox Engine.

Senior producer Naoya Hatsumi confirmed that the PES team is working closely with the Fox Engine team in an effort to "win back the crown when it comes to the next generation," reports EG.

Kojima Productions is using the Fox Engine for Project Ogre (rumoured to be a new Metal Gear game) and the recently revealed Enders Project.

Konami also confirmed superstar PES producer Shinji ‘Seabass’ Takatsuka is currently working on an altogether seperate next-gen project.
