http://www.theverge.com/gaming/2012/...or-ps3-releaseA collection of HD Hitman titles is being bundled together for re-release on PlayStation 3, according to a retailer listing.
The trilogy, including Hitman: Blood Money, Hitman 2: Silent Assassin and Hitman 3: Contracts was spotted on Italian retailer website 16Games and listed for release on October 15.
"Enter a world of crime, sin and greed. Penetrate deeper into the recesses of the mind of Agent 47, the world's deadliest assassin. Remaining anonymous, being quick and totally ruthless: these are the keys to a perfect execution," reads the retail statement.
"Follow Agent 47 while executing orders on behalf of slum-living criminals or on behalf of the highest summits of power. Nothing is important except the target."
Blood Money, Silent Assassin and Contracts are the second, third and forth releases in the series, respectively. The next installment in the series, Hitman: Absolution, is scheduled to release November 20.

Why the hell is always the first game missing from every collection? What sort of collection starts at part 2 ?

They were probably like "hey guys, let's go the Silent Hill route, except instead of including the last game before this one, let's not include the very first game that tells people the story of Agent 47."
Let's how the backlash works out for them.

Maybe because the first game was not on consoles?
And Silent Hill omitted the first game from its collection because it is a PS1 title. Not even HD touch-ups would do it justice.__________

Hitman triple pack game out a few years ago for Xbox and PS2 which only included, Silent assassin, contracts and blood money so thats the version they are using as a base I guess.

Well, Tomb Raider Collection looked much better than the PS2 versions (on par with PC), so Eidos don't seem to be taking the lazy route like Konami has by just upscaling the games.
Yep, which is what he's saying, SH1 was a PS1 game so was unlikely to make it into the HD Collection, whereas Hitman 1 looked as good as PS2 games so it weird that its not making it into this Collection.Silent hill collection was based of the ps2 versions.
Hopefully they make it as a separate download down the line if its not included.

God Of War just a straight port into 720p yet still looks great It hink.
It all depends ont he base game assets how good it looks and if it needs any texture upgrades.Last edited by keefy; 06-04-2012 at 20:10.

You know the GOW/ICO collection team did MGS collection & SH Collection was some random dev with unfinished code? just checking btw
but yeah my best collections are the TR:Collection & MGS:Collection
I do have the POP & SC Collection from Ubisoft but they not as smooth and as polished as they should be on PS3, kinda like the SH: Collection but not as bad.
I reckon the ZOE collection will be good.

No it was SH2 & 3 pre-alpha > SH:Collection, they used unfinished PS2 code to make SH Collection, SH3 didn't have voice soundtrack hence why it was completely redone, all the bugs & missing textures etc was cuzz it wasn't in place with the code they was working with
they should have like Bluepoint with MGS Collection worked with the PS2 retail disc code, but said it's not possible, eventhou Bluepoint did exactly that with MGS, GOW

Finally! Since I never played any of these games, I can at last find out how they compare to Splinter Cell and MGS games.
Almost everyone will say: buy console that has games that you want, and those who say otherwise are ignorant.

Playstation Move for the win!
