They can hype it to the ends of the earth, and I'm sure it will look decent, but it will still be blown out of the water by dedicated engines made by a developer specifically for a game or series of games.

But since we'll see UE4 before anything else it will give us a good indication of the least we can expect from next gen

as much as i hate the unreal engine - from an Administrative perspective - this thing is just too good.

all for naught if the GTX 680 is more powerful then what Sony and Microsoft currently support.
those 1 million particles would severely impact those cards.

it would seem Epic have noticed their animation system licks balls! one of my biggest problems with this engine seems to be getting some tlc!

Actually, I think next consoles are going to be beefed up enough to have good MMORPG's. I already know that Everquest III will be on the PS4. I think when the PS4 comes out, it will be a leap of MMORPG and MMOFPS games altogether.
