All my hates about FC2 are gone, but FC3 leaves me with the hate of free guns. Why the hell did they do that :/

Well, it's more of a trade-off, you get some towers running and in exchange you'll get free weapons.

You'd think it opening more of the map or whatever would be enough. Whats the (no spoilers, if any :P) story justification for getting free weapons? (Curious how/why you just get handed free weapons, I seen a video you get the flamethrower free O_o)

I was looking at the achievements for this game. I think I will be able to get them all . At least it looks that way.

Love the trophies for this game too, none of that multiplayer or editor bullshit that I can see, apart from co-op. Hopefully it'll be my next plat.

You will be helping the people with their trade routes or something like that. Anyway, you can pick up a gun after you kill a bad guy and it would be there in your inventory. No spoilers, the story has no relation to this part.

I think it fits in ok with the story, as the fat woman in the main town shop keeps saying when you go in there, they cant get any messages through to the remote villages (and they have some good stuff or something she says) so m
by opening that trade route up for them by disabling the jammers, they give you a free sample lol.

While I agree that free weapons is a bit too much, you still have to pay for signature weapons, which pretty expensive. I love this edition.

They are special guns ( mainly new guns, like vektor, HK 416, 50 cal SR and more) that you get for doing stuff like collecting letter, relics ect, all in the handbook in the pause menu.

okay, this game awesome o.O so far I've played about 2 hours and I dig it. I also love how the beginning story starts off.

Been playing FC3 and for me the only thing that hurts it is the free weapons, I preordered and got a silenced predator rifle, picked up an enemies AK, and did a sidequest and got a shotgun. I have little use for money except to buy ammo.. it kind of sucks lol

yea, I agree with that but honestly, I am not thinking about that part, I just explore and play. lol If they keep the Far Cry games like this and build more upon this type of formula, it would be flat out awesome but at the same time...ummm... awesome. I just like how they put a "nobody" for a main character. not like it's the same character every single game.

This games probably has the greatest intro to a game ever. So far, this is my pick for GOTY.

Only played not even an hour to eat supper and other things, but I think this is my GOTY. Exploring and hunting is pretty fun, Komodo Dragons almost kicked my ass.. those things seem to come out of nowhere lol

I hear a lot of praise in here.. but from a couple real life friends all I have heard is "It's completely shit, and the online component is not even worth touching." I dunno if I'll be getting it based on conflicting opinion.

I've heard that the SP is good but the MP is crap.

No Far Cry title, IMO, has had a good MP. I'm not even sure how you could say the SP is "completely shit" that just boggles my mind lol

Agreed. Far Cry has always been about SP.
