I also think the bow is the best damn weapon in this game. Makes going unnoticed so much easier! Except for when you accidentally use the fire arrow and light up 20 yards of grass and trees, causing explosions and pretty much giving away that someone is there.

I came to the conclusion they could make an Indiana jones/raiders of the lost ark/uncharted/tomb raider open world style of game set in first person and it would be successful.

Glad to be hearing good things from this game. I plan on getting it around the end of the month when more time opens up, and reading these things just makes that time seem so far away. Definitely excited to hear about stealth as that was a major disappointment for me in FC2. Especially with the sniper.

It's hard keeping myself away from YouTube videos.

I can't wait to get right in to this game. Only put a couple hours in so far. It's a good game though. A million times better than FC2.

FC3 is so much better then 2 its not even worth comparing, only thing that seems to be the same is how he heals without a syringe. Guns even feel better to use, which I thought they would just "leave as is".

Yeah the gun movement is a ton better, that is one thing I was worried about. I didn't much like how it was hard to aim on FC2. Or it was for me.

FC2 gun combat was weird, but i actually did not mind it too much, added to the challenge! ( which far cry 3 is missing, fc2 i would worry and even retreat when i saw 5 or so enemies on the hardest difficulty, in fc3 i can take on like 12 or so quite easily on the hardest difficulty)

Do miss the weapon degradation though.

I don't know why folks are comparing to FC2... FC2 just wasn't that good. FC3 is ten times better.

Personally, i loved the more gritty setting of Africa and being in a middle of a civil war more so than what we see in fc3.

Except that and a few realistic features we seen in FC2, FC3 shits on FC2 in every other way. .

Beat the game last night (also done just about everything that unlocked stuff, 23 hours spents and Im nearly 80% - 50 relics, hunt,wanted, etc, sidequests, and those minigames to go - I plan to play the end again) was fairly good.
Going from single player to co-op is a gigantic "What the fuck?" moment, co-op has got to be one of the crappiest co-op moments ever. Cant seem to pick your map, I played the same one twice in a row last night. And its so freaking buggy, someone healed me and once I was healed I was sent somewhere else in the map and died.

Time to go try it again to beat the last 4 co-op maps, and play some poker (this shit is retarded, I played 8 games, and won 2 and its been 2 hours. It'll take me roughly 5 hours to get that poker trophy/platinum if this keeps up

)

What are they checkpoints like? Respawns like FC2?

If you die outside an outpost takeover you respawn outside it, if you die out of mission you respawn at the nearest watchtower/outpost you took over. Enemies dont respawn in areas that are not red (so if you want enemies to be places dont take over outposts)

That what you wanted? Checkpoints in missions seem to be fine, at least to me.

Completed the platinum trophy for FC3 and made level 75 on multiplayer and finished co op. Loved FC3 campaign and still playing the multiplayer. There is a new playlist in the multiplayer as we speak which is offering double XP. Who knows how long it will be up so make use out of it while you can

Just wondering, do the random races/shooting events do/count towards 100%? Same goes with whether they need to be done on expert. At the moment I'm trying to do every one on expert because there all so fun, but just curious.

Also, at the moment I have only explored a small amount of the map, if I decided I want to go hunting and upgrade everything I can before progressing in story/side missions, is it possible to do so or are there limitations? Same with collectables...
