Fair enough I guess.....I still find it hard to believe.

I have all of the current AC games and have finished them all apart from Rev. I will be starting Rev soon as soon as I finish some other games I am playing.

Really like the AC series they just keep getting better and better every new game that comes out. This new AC3 looks AMAZING and I really cant wait to buy this game. Makes me wonder how many they can really keep making of the series ??

That break between games was short! Don't blame you though, the series does engage. Brohood gets REALLY fierce about 20-25% through and ramps up continually from there until the end. You are in for one great ride.

It just depends on, if you're looking to get all the trophies for it, or not, or if you wanna beat it and then go back and get the trophies you missed. The games really aren't too long, just based on what kind of player you are really I guess.

I'm a bit annoyed at the trophies for Brotherhood, I got the Platinum for II but they have shoveled in a ton of Multiplayer trophies for Brotherhood..I hate when they force you. I mean, get to lvl 50? How long would that take? I've never even prestiged once in any COD game.
    Trophy-licious!

Level 50 unfortunately takes a long time. (I thought it was 35 but been a while since I played it) I dislike lengthy online trophies as well

I was in a similar situation with Goldeneye reloaded. All SP trophies done, went online and it's freakin' dead so there's another on the none plat list even though I've done things like complete it on 007 classic difficulty and certain levels within a set time on hardest difficulty etc.

Back on topic, I've just finished the last sequence on Revelations and wow, what a game.
Single player trophy mop up and then on to the MP for the last few and plat hopefully.

I'm not a fan of online trophies either, specifically for the reason that I don't always buy games day one and they are often dead by the time I get to them, as SupraGaz has experienced. Luckily this isn't usually a problem for blockbusters, but for other games it can be rough.

Should I still get Brotherhood and Revelations? Or just wait for AC III? I don't know whether I can be bothered to go through them in time...

As a completionist I would personally. However, it's up to you. Given the complex nature of the series storyline it might be recommended, but I doubt it's required if you read wikis and such to get a good idea of what's going on.

I'd go for it but that's because I love the series. Having said that, I've always left it months between each 1, not playing them consecutively

Focussing on the main sequences wouldn't take long and they do help pan out the story rather than jumping straight to Revelations or AC3 when released.

AC1 began to feel repetitive toward the last couple of hours, but the story had me reeled in so I was telling myself to continue because I'll find out more, I was really upset by the end of AC1 that I had to wait until AC2!

As for how long I invest in this franchise, it takes me roughly 14 days to complete each game in the franchise with 3 hours roughly played a day (42 hours or so).

For some reason I look for flags and try to do all side quests as well so it adds up, some can complete the game in 10-12 hours.

I just got the revelations plat so here are the stats:

Single player 100% sync: 23 hours 22 minutes. (you only need 100% sync in sequences though for the trophy, not complete everything to 100% sync, i just wanted to because I enjoyed it).

    Multiplayer Level 20: 5 hours, 34 minutes.

My game mode of choice was free for all, steel the artifact.
Once you have the artifact, hide rather than run. More points for staying hidden, plus if you morph people around you and they get killed you also get lure, variety and the stun bonuses if you stun after too.

MP wasnt as long as I expected And thoroughly enjoyable.

I never played them consecutively either, usually getting them at or near launch and playing them then. I imagine if you weren't REALLY into the series like I am it could be tedious to play them all back to back with no break in between. I might not have a problem with that, but then again I'm a big fan. Casual fans might want to play another game or two between intallments.

I've burnt myself out about 25% into Brotherhood. Just can't bring myself to continue playing. So gonna take a break for a while.

Doesn't help that it just feels like an expansion to II than a whole new game.

I found the the start of Brotherhood to be quite slow. Not sure how far 25% is into the game, can't remember, but it definitely gets a lot better as you go along
