    Guerrilla Games Next Title to be an FPS/Action Game

    With Guerrilla Games having confirmed that theyre working on a new IP, the big question is whether the developer will stick to the FPS genre. Now, we have proof that they are working on a FPS game, and the only question is are they talking about their new IP or Killzone 4?

    Weve uncovered a Guerrilla Games job listing for a FPS/action game:

    We want you to contact Guerrilla HQ if:
    Youve worked on (and completed) one or more FPS/action games as a Senior Game Designer



    You have past experience designing combat systems in the FPS/action genre

    Additionally, it also unsurprisingly confirms the existence of multiplayer:

    We really want to hear from you if:
    You have extensive knowledge of and affinity for Online/Multiplayer design.

    With over 160 developers at the studio, its perfectly plausible that the team is working on Killzone 4 and a new IP at the same time, although nothing has been confirmed yet. Previously, we also found evidence that Guerrilla is working on a PS4 game which would seem like a logical launching point for a new IP

    I hope it's a new IP if it's KZ4 then so be it that's cool as well but I think they should save that for "Ps4".

    I agree. I'd rather have the new i.p now and have killzone 4 for the ps4. GG really needs to work on the single player more to freshen it up a bit. I'm fine with the controls and A.I. They just need to add more. Add things from the ps2 killzone. 4 different characters(sniper, heavy, balanced, balanced+) and different routes to take(depending on the character). The weapons need their secondary fire back.

    As much as I love Killzone and FPS titles, I wish developers like Guerilla would try their hand at something else. Clearly they're talented in this field; now try to transfer those talents to other types of games like action / adventure, thriller, horror, or other types of games.

    But if it must be an FPS, I agree with those that said they hope it's a new IP. Let's wait for the next iteration of the PlayStation before continuing the Killzone saga.

    They seriously need a new good writer for Killzone. The game was cool and all but the story was just terrible. Let's not forget the ending..

    I'm pretty sure they said they would save KZ4 for PS4, but yeah they could just easily scratch that and release it on PS3. I would also love it if they do save it for PS4, would make for an amazing launch game.

    Just copped Killzone 3. Nothing special there.. At least not in single player campaign. Not saying that I don't like it.. It's fun enough. But I don't see how it has seperated itself from a dozen similiar games.

    Its easier to control. 3rd person game sI find I get stuck on things alot more because I cannot see the objects properly due to the character blocking them but mostly its due to the perspective.

    For me, FPS > TPS due to the realism.
