Seeing as how Sony's current-gen home console has been out on the market for nearly 6 years now, I was curious to see what everyone's top 5 PlayStation 3 experiences were. What kind of exclusives make the home console stand out from the competition and are, of course, the most fun to play?
I'll start this off by listing my favorite titles:
5. inFamous
4. Killzone 2
3. LittleBigPlanet 2
2. MotorStorm: Pacific Rift
1. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Recently, I thought Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception would make the top of my list but I agree with most people in that, while it was good (and who doesn't love those melee combat sequences?), it wasn't better than its predecessor.

1. Getting the ps3, opening it and crying tears of joy.
2. Playing online for the first time with Rainbow Six Vegas. I was so amazed at hearing people talk to each other on mics
because I never had the opportunity to try online with PS2.
3. E3 2007 conference when they announced Playstation Home. I thought that was the best thing to ever happen in the world.
4. MGS4 6 minute trailer.
5. Killzone 2 trailer showing off its graphical quality.

1. Like, DreDayDetox, I was very excited to finally buy a Playstation 3. It was next gen at the time, the games looked jaw-dropping so I was very eager to play anything the console was offering.
2. Motorstorm and Resistance: Fall of Man. The latter became one of my favorite series
3. Metal Gear Solid 4!
4. Uncharted 2's incredible performance at E3.
5. God of War 3's battle against Poseidon. I was in awe at the level of awesomeness.

1. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
Godly game.
2. Resistance: Fall of Man
My first PS3 game, my first online multiplayer game. God I had so much fun on that game and met some cool people (that I unfortunately haven't played with in forever). Meeting people?! Not just everyone yelling and calling each other faggots, camping noobs and retards?! The progression of online gaming this generation has been complete trash.
2 was such a CoD-ified disappointment that I never got it and never bothered with 3.
3. InFamous
Great gameplay, great story. Not a game I encountered when it first came out. Picked it up after it was a greatest hit AND on sale on top of it. And boy am I glad I did.
4. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Such a great series, so much nostalgia. Incredible gameplay. But admittedly for me it's only the third best in the numbered series (3>1>>>>4>2), and that's why it's not higher. Too much movie not enough gameplay, and too much fanservice.
5. God of War III
As much as I hate the word, the only thing to describe this is epic. Dem boss battles, MYYY lord. But also, when taken as a whole, I thought each of the first two was better.

3. Scrolling through the XMB and hear the nice little "tick" sound
4. Turning it off because I just had an amazing time with its games
5. Riposte in Dark Souls

Uncharted
Gran Turismo 5
Metal Gear solid 4
4 and 5 do not exist becuase I have been thwarted yet again by sony's ineptitude at building a console that lasts.

Experiences doesn't mean listing games to me but oh well. There's so many good experiences but these are just ones that come to mind, not necessarily in this order.
1. Getting my new slim the other day has been my latest excitement and had me dust off a lot of games I've neglected.
2. Countless moments and scenes from Skyrim had me in complete aww.
3. Killzone 3 online was some of the most fun I've had playing online.
4. Dead Space 1 and 2 but more specifically the first moments of 2 when you have to run away with a straight jacket on, defenseless.
5. Lastly, playing GT5 and switching to the driver's seat of the premium cars.
5.

1. Socom: Confrontation - After all the patches when it was actually working before it got too old it was almost like playing on PS2 it was the only online game I truly cared for this gen. even til' this day. It's too old and full of cheaters nowadays so I don't play any more though.
2. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Best whole game I played on PS3 so far. As far as having Great story and good multi-player.
3. Grand Theft Auto 4 - Real Grand Theft Auto Multi-player with Friends. Open world with loads of things to do, was a really great experience.
4. Borderlands - I've been playing games since 91 and played lots of co-op games. I will not say this is my fav. co-op game of all time but it is the greatest experience I have ever had in a co-op game.(There's a difference lol)
5.LittleBigPlanet - Although it looked very childish and I was unsure about it. I bought it on Day 1 anyways and was amazed by the levels and innovative creativity, sure made me a believer.
Honorable Mentions:
- Fighting Poseidon in God of War 3 for the first time had me all like
- Seeing Killzone 2's Graphics 1st hand
- Seeing the capabilities of Battlefield 3
- Actually buying the PS3
- Playing a huge game that actually had 256 players on a console
- Being the squad in MAG that breaks through and basically open's everything up for all the other squads in Domination
- The amazingness of Basketball in a video game in NBA2K11
- Rocksteady's Batman Games
- Mass Effect 2 (one Hell of a single player game)Ride or die Sony(Playstation) supporter since 12/25/1997
Currently playing: Mass Effect 3, NBA 2K13, Tomba,Borderlands 2,Playstation Allstars Battle Royale, Socom: Confrontation and Dragon's Dogma
Holding down Turtle Power since 1991

6. The announcement of MGS in HD. MGS3 is worth the $50 for that HD pack alone.

Metal Gear Solid 4 (This includes Metal Gear Online. That was by far my favorite multiplayer experience).
Little Big Planet 2 (Making levels, and having fun with friends made my experience awesome).
Mass Effect 2/3 (I got really attached to all the characters and the universe).
Uncharted 2 (Game was nearly perfect).
God of War 3 (the hype leading up to the game, and that absolutely amazing opening had me ridiculously excited).
That's what I'm feeling right now, but I'm sure this list would change easily depending on how I'm feeling. Other honorable mentions are Heavy Rain, Journey, Resistance Fall of Man, Fallout 3, Dead Space, and I would put MGS3 into the list but it is a PS2 game.Last edited by bigCman123; 06-15-2012 at 02:01.

I've had too many great experiences with my ps3, but one that stands out was feeling the online battle cry for the first time, Warhawk Full Game had just started and it was some of my first online epic battles, and hearing on the Mic people waging for War charging at our enemies, all 16 death starving Cherovans jumping on tanks, turret strapped Jeeps, Warhawks, extra grenades and making a charge for it.
Felt kind of like in Football were the opposing team kicks off the ball, and chargest forward, Single player wise i've had too many ps3 exclusives and even multiplats that have been a great experience too many to list. Love my trey no fanboy here, just feel that Sony franchise cater to my gaming style more so that the competition.
