Old games all the way.I love gaming nowadays. But, in general, they don't compare to the games of the past.

Gaming now is to easy and boring in some cases. But i do play modern games, bit not as much as old games

Give me a choice and i would past up the chance to play a new game for an old game any day

New games, i like new experiences. Nostalgia skews old experiences and is rather personal. I'll cherish them, but i always want something fresh.

Old games were really good and classic. I remember playing games like age of empires 1 and Caesar 3. Those games were extremely good and i had really good memories playing those games as a kid. The current generation of games is awful.

I have to somewhat agree. The SNES/Genesis into N64/PS era was notably memorable for me. Around '94-'95 is when gaming really started to pickup with great games being widely available. You also had full motion videos being introduced on early disc consoles such as Sega CD. Donkey Kong Country was a good sign of where gaming was headed outside of the typical 2D scrolling platformer. Then came Crash Bandicoot and Super Mario 64 at a time when gaming was huge.

The 90s was a time when the only multiplayer was having real friends or family over. I recall many weekends with friends devoted to gaming.

For me personally, my favorite 10 year span of gaming was between 1997 - 2007 (PC and game consoles) give or take a year. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of games I enjoy since then but my nostalgia sweet spot is in the past. PS2 is probably my overall favorite gaming era for me personally.

I dont feel sorry for anyone that born and playing this generation games, because it's easy anymore to find and play all the games from the glorious past. If someone says" i dont like old graphics etc" i cant help him.

The answer in this question is that if i had to choose one of these two seasons, would be the past because harder games exist there, games that u had to spend a lot of hours to complete them, and still u had unrevealed secrets to discover. After years and years for example tried to find a secret stage in Super Mario World and i refused to watch youtube video till recently than my younger bro found the way. Many recent games are easier and looks like a "junk food". But even if the old games were better in quantity, in quality we have some real great games in our consoles of the current generations. As i took a look at my all time fav games there are both from the past and future. Video games for me is not like music, that the mainstream died at middle 90s and after these years, almost all the songs and artists are low quality.

And still believe that the Golden Age for me were between the years 1998-2005 with a tone of great Survival Horror games mainly and not only(Resident Evil 2,3,5,Code Veronica, Remake, Zero, Koudelka, Parasite Eve, Silent Hill 1-4, Devil May Cry1,3, God Of War, Project Zero 1-3, Eternal Darkness, Clock Tower 3, Haunting Ground.

We have wonderful memories from the past and great future awaits on gaming.

"We can't be together forever... but, with this... we can
    become one.... Kill me..."
