Hey guys. Did anyone other than me get the new Civilizations 5: Gods & Kings Expansion Pack? I got mine on the 19th and I have to say, it's freaking awesome. It definitely added a whole lot more to the core game and it's made it much more challenging and fun.

Can you summarize its improvements? Also, I imagine units have ten times their health as being annoying, so is this the case?

Additions:
Units
Composite Bowmen
Battering Ram (Carthage)
Machine Gunner
Great War Infantry
Marine
Great War Landship (first generation tank)
Tri-plane
Great War Bomber
Great Prophet
Great Admiral
Inquisitor
Missionary
There's 9 new civs
Resources:
Citris
Copper
Crab
Jewelry (can only be obtained by mercantile city states)
Porcelain (can only be obtained by mercantile city states)
Salt

Addition of Religion.
Addition of Espionage which officially starts when the first person gets to the Renaissance Era.
All Units have more HP and the combat system has been revamped to deal with it. You will no longer be able to just take out enemy units or cities in one fell swoop.
You may now stack one combat naval unit with a non combat naval unit or land unit.
There has been a whole new era added called the Atomic Era.
There are new wonders like Leaning Tower of Piza, Great Firewall, Hubble Space Telescope etc...
There are new buildings like the Police Station, Ampitheatre, Bomb Shelter, Cantebury etc...
New technologies like Drama Poetry etc...
There is A LOT added to the game.

I've tried the demo of Civ V, but I can't really get into the game properly. I'd love to learn and play it though.

Not going to happen, Revolution's largest map is about half the size of the PC counterparts. Playing Civ on the PC with over 30 countries, loads of neutral factions, and barbarians on a planet sized map and playing a marathon game is epic! Takes several thousand turns and rapes your PC but it's glorious.

Out of curiosity how does the religion work in this iteration, is it like Civ 4 where your religion that spreads can create civil unrest? Also do borders count more where you can swallow up an opposing city and eventually you take it over via influence? Those are the two things that I missed the most.

After playing the demo, I decided not to buy it... I just couldn't get the fun out of it really. Meh... probably my own fault because some of my friends really enjoy the game.
