I'm making this thread mainly for the people on the fence or interested in the Nintendo 3DS. Let me tell you something, now is a great time to get one. You've got Mario 3D Land, Mario Kart 7, Resident Evil Revelations, Theaterrhythum Final Fantasy . . . and now we have Kingdom Hearts 3D. The following are impressions of the KH 3D demo. I know it's just a demo, but with the game coming out in a month, how much could change?
3DS Eye Candy
Kingdom Hearts 3D is gorgeous. Uh oh, it looks like Resident Evil Revelations is going to have competition in the 3DS visual department. Everything is in high detail and colors, from Sora's new get up to even the lion monsters you fight. It's not PS3 or Xbox 360 graphics, but it still looks good for a handheld.
Donald Duck sounds like Macy Gray on crack
The sound and music is great, just like most Kingdom Hearts' games. Sora is voiced by Haley, and you can tell that although Sora hasn't aged much, Haley has. His voice is deeper and sounds different from KH2. Neku from the world ends with you makes an appearance in the demo and I think they did a good job with his voice. It matches him okay. The music in Traverse Town is basically a remix of the music of TT in KH1. I'm interested how the music will sound in the new worlds, including Hunchback from Notre Damus.
I whip my keyblade back and forth
The controls are . . . strange to say the least. I'm hoping there will be magic shortcuts like it was in the console versions of Kingdom Hearts. You use the analog stick to move, and striking with the keyblade by using the A button. I didn't like the magic controls, but it's a demo so maybe there will be shortcuts in the retail version. Whenever I used cura, the magic wheel or whatever automatically scrolled down to another magic available. I get it, you use all the magics available and it comes back to cure. However, my problem with that was I still had to scroll around to get back to cure, it was kind of sporadic or whatever. Other than that, the controls are actually good. The camera adjusts well with the shoulder buttons and the controls are actually smooth. Playing it reminded me more of KH1 than KH2, which is a good thing.
DARKNESS!!!
I was really impressed with this demo and it put any doubts I had about KH3D to rest. Not only will I play it to keep up with the plot of Kingdom Hearts, but I'm going to play it because it was fun. It was really fun. I would purchase this day one, but my wallet is just not up to it. So it's most likely I'll be getting this in October for my birthday, which is an excellent birthday present.
Kingdom Hearts 3D releases July 31th. I hope you will enjoy it like I did.

From what I've read, Dream Drop Distance sets the story up nicely for the next title, Kingdom Hearts III. So it should be worth checking out.

I loved BbS to damn bits! Loved playing co-op with my sister in the arena. Best PSP game? For me, definitely, along with Dissidia and Monster Hunter. I just hope this is as good as BbS or better. Can't wait!
