Capcom revealed in a statement that the title is its 55th to reach 1 million copies shipped, having set a first-week sales record in Japan for a new franchise.
As a result, Capcom has enough faith in the title to develop new games in the Dragon's Dogma series.
The PS3 version of 'Dogma sold over 300,000 units in its Japanese debut week alone.
