New Black Ops 2 screens show even more right-handed gunmen aiming at the floor

Activision has released two new screens for Treyarch's Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.

The pair continue the long-standing Call of Duty screenshot tradition of having characters standing on one side of screen and looking directly at the camera (see here, here, and here for the others).

Take a look at the new shots below.

EA's global product manager commented on Twitter that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 "looks tired". Activision didn't respond, presumably because they're too busy rubbing cash all over their bodies.

Ditto. I've grown very bored with the series, and think that BO2 will be creative enough to bring me back.

These guys are actually taking a drastically different direction compared to other Call of Duty games. As for multiplayer, I don't know but I'm confident that it will be a different experience. I know that some of you liked, Modern Warfare 3 but to me it was the most boring, rubbish game in the series.

Edit: what the heck?. Why are some words linking to Amazon?.
    Edit 2: Now they're gone..

Yes, a futuristic theme and some futuristic content is taking a "drastically different direction"

It's in the future, but when I pitched to Activision my idea of it being set on an American space station being hijacked by Russian Space Monkeys that want to unleash a doomsday device to anally probe the world, they laughed.

Looking at the second picture in the OP closely... the graphics are VERY VERY hit or miss imo.

Look at his gun.. some parts are very detailed and nice and others are bland and blurry... same goes with his clothes. Those pants look horrible.

I don't know if this is just me used to current gen tech or if the COD engine is showing its age..

Let me enlighten you with a few details.

And here are the rest of the details revealed by Amrich in short form.

    • The game’s official title is Call of Duty: Black Ops II, not “2″
    • Black Ops II is split between the Cold War of the 1980s and the second Cold War taking place in the year 2025
    • The main villain is called Raul Menendez
    • There’ll be branching storylines and player choice
    • You’ll be able to pick paths during levels that better suit your play style or sense of adventure
    • You can fail missions in Black Ops II, and that will divert the main story. In some cases, people will live or die based on your success or failure on a mission, and that will affect the story’s outcome
    • At least one female character will be in the game
    • The visuals have been overhauled
    • The PC version will take advantage of DX11 cards
    • The new Zombies is a huge world, running inside the multiplayer mode.
    • There are “a lot of new Zombie game modes” [source @5:10]
    • The ‘traditional’ Zombies mode will return
    • Treyarch are using the multiplayer engine for Black Ops 2 Zombies. It “could” handle 8-players and double the amount of Zombies – C&V
    • Black Ops II”s multiplayer has been stripped back a lot and started from a very core place with a goal of supporting the broadest range of players and play styles
    • The Combat Training system has been revamped for new players
    • There’s a new sniper rifle that uses millimeter wave technology, the same tech that airport security scanners use to see through walls. The same rifle also uses charged shots to sling ammo at high velocity, giving you the option to shoot through different density walls depending on how long you prime the shot

Haha! Too funny. I've always noticed that for some reason they always like to show screens of them hanging rifle low and running.

That's probably a killstreak like the Valkyrie rocket. If not that sucks some kind of bad. I hate sniping enough on the games as it is.
