I never even want to see FFVII remake when I realized that it won't be anything like what we want it to be.

Yea there's no way since they'd have to bring the team back together and that won't be happening especially since the new team wants to probably surpass older games but they're not doing so well

It was the best for story and characters then again I enjoyed FF8 and FF10 I really should try to play FF9 and see if it's any good after that it went down hill for me personally, Bare in mind most of the original devs left the company way before the move to PS2 who worked on the likes of FF7-9 I believe. If you remember one guy from the company think it maybe the man on the topic said we'll make it with all the original devs from the game back in 1997.

I can't see that happening and the small issue with people from FF13 and S.E not being able to make HD towns etc also go people back up if they are struggling now with that then FF7 will never been remade and I hope it isn't.

What they should do honestly is what IGN suggested on their podcast a few days ago, add trophies and give FF7 a hd overlay. Probably should put it on VITA

That would be the best move. But we know they would add some Zack stuff, Genesis, Deepground or whatever it was called again. They would also remove Honey Bee, Tifa/Scarlett slapping contest, Cloud dressing as a girl etc. (these have been already stated by some developers)

And as I mentioned before, I doubt a game as old as Final Fantasy VII will get an HD remaster. If that was the case, you would have seen Silent Hill and Metal Gear Solid included with their respective HD collections.

1. You don't know for sure that they can't make a better game in the future.
2. The nostalgia factor is something gamers should address, not the developers.
3. Those "millions of gamers" can pick it up for 10 dollars on the PlayStation Store.

Honestly i don't know but making a ffv11 remake will not hurt them anyway. It will sell millions and they can take the money they get from it and spend it on trying to make a game better than ff7, if they want to, or they can BLOW() it on cheap hookers. Those millions of gamers aren't gonna wanna spend money on a PS1 game. It doesn't get the job done like a remake would. As for the nostalgia factor it is a issue for gamers but there throwing gas on the fire by constantly talking about ff7. I know fans are the ones asking about the game but they should just say we're not making it every time. They have been off and on about a remake for years now.

A remake would probably net them money for sure, but how many games see true remakes? What if the remake is horrible? (i.e. Twin Snakes, waaay over the top). It may not be enough to "just HD FFVII" in a remake (not talking remaster here). They may have to change stuff, the backgrounds will be different, the music might be different, the characters would have voices and they could suck, SE might try to add stuff in the game, might change things for the worse, etc. Nostalgia plays a gigantic factor in this.

I'd rather see SE try to make a FF game better than XIII (shouldn't be too hard). I wanna see whole new worlds and whole new stories. The story of VII has been told and it's a classic. Some classics shouldn't be touched (i.e. many fans of the classic Star Wars Triology)

Would rather have a remake and finished product of Xenogears over FF VII. I liked Xenogears much more than I did FF VII and feel it could deserve more justice aside from the three crappy Xenosaga prequels.

1. Don't understand why people want an "HD Remaster" of FFVII. It has lego mania graphics, so you would be seeing lega mania in HD which I don't care for. The upcoming HD FFX tho is nice because it has nice PS2 visuals and still good...

It's the same damn game remade. So how does that not update an already impressive game?

The only bad thing about FFVIIs graphics were the character models, most of the backdrops looked amazing back in 97.
