PSU is naming the BEST PS3 GAMES, need your help!

Hello PlayStation Universe!

We are super pleased to announce a new competition to name the absolute BEST PS3 GAMES of all time! But instead of the editors picking the winners, and instead of using review scores, we’ve decided to make this a By The Fan vote.

So here’s what we are doing. PSU is hosting a Battle Royale to name the best PS3 Games. We’ll do this in single-elimination head-to-head votes, conducted by PlayStation Fans—namely, you! If you are familiar with March Madness, you’ll know exactly what we are talking about.

We are starting with a 32 game bracket. We need help picking the games to be included on this list, so that’s where we’ll start today. Once we’ve picked the 32 contenders, we’ll ask you to pick the top 5 games you believe deserve Top Seeds. Yup, this is like regular bracketology!

We’ll then assemble brackets and starting in mid July we’ll run regular bouts. Picture Uncharted 2 going against Grand Theft Auto 4, or LittleBigPlanet vs Metal Gear Solid 4. You’ll be asked to vote on the winner throughout the competition.

But, there’s a catch—of course, there’s always a catch. To entice you to join in the competition, we’re going to let people fill out brackets once we’ve created the master list. You’ll turn in your brackets, predicting the winners of each round, before we start the competition. We’ll assign points for each round, and the winner at the end of the competition will win prizes…like, really good prizes… so good that we still have to come up with something.

So, let’s get started. Below are a list of contenders, most with associated Metacritic scores. Help us pick 32 games that deserve to be in the competition. Add games if you think we are missing something. It’s in alphabetical order—as best as our broken brains can manage—so feel free to copy and paste your responses.

Share this with your friends. Get the word out. Share it on Facebook, or Twitter, or print out a bracket and give it to your grandma. This should be a ton of fun and we can’t wait to see which PS3 game wins the competition!

You might want to fix some of these titles. For example, Deus Ex: Human Revolution instead of Deus X and Killzone 2 instead of Kill Zone 2.
