I'm also trying to install The Witcher 2 whilst watching the official Guild Wars 2 beta weekend stream on Twitch and chatting on Steam. Probably shouldn't have finished downloading Shogun 2 earlier, and Virgin wouldn't have throttled my connection, Lol. Downloading games at 500kb/s is pants.

Also. It says I have a "1 year of service" badge, but I have had Steam for 2 years now, since 2010. So shouldn't I have a 2 years of service badge?

Not if they use month/day into it. Mines Aug 2007 and it says I have been on steam four years. This August will be 5.

I got my 1 year of service award on July 30, 2010.

So when i think about it. Shouldn't I just be going in to my 3rd year?

edit: Oh no wait, perhaps that was my sign up date meaning I'm due a 2 year badge next week.. I think that might be it.

Open up Steam, click community, click profile, in the gameplay stats area it will say "member since:". That should fix your confusion lol

Damn, I only had a Pc with a graphics card for the last 5 years or so. Sometimes I regret steam cause of all the sales, but then I love it for the same reason.

9 years in September.
I started using steam from almost the very begining I was a few days late because I didn't game a great deal on PC back then because my PS2 still worked.
I fancied some Half-Life deathmatch so fire up Gamespy (I used it as a server browser) only to find there was hardly any servers maybe half a dozen instead of the many hundreds I was used to seeing so I asked in the chats whats going on and they said "you need Steam go here www.steampowered.com" so I did and downloaded steam which took about 15 minutes (56k) then it had to update which took another 20-30 argh!! then I had to download the whole game again which took all fricking day @ 7KB/second.

I didn't get the 'vote every day' achievement either, Naxi. I think I missed the first two days. And I still don't have one for joining the Summer Camp group.

EDIT: Actually, I did get it. But it seems like other people on Steam are having the same problem with the other achievement.

I've just purchased Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II Gold Edition, meaning I get to gift the standard game that I already own to someone. Purchased it as I didn't have Chaos Rising and it was the same price.

So, if you want a free copy of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II please let me know - happy to send it to a good home. All I'll ask is if you don't like Warhammer or RTS games to allow someone else who does the opportunity to take it.
