I have to say I'm very excited to say the least as this is the first time I'm able to get in on all the steam deals. I've seen some of the prices in the past and they have about made my jaw drop on certain ones. There is much speculation going around that the sale is going to start tomorrow. Not certain but I believe it is going by previous trend.
So I'm in need of Steam games but more importantly Steam friends. If everyone could post the games that they have on their wishlist or plan to buy in the upcoming sale. Also please post your steam ID so I can add you. I'm going to put my Steam ID in my sig for anyone who wants to send me an invite. I would like this thread to be used throughout the course of the sale to post great prices, bundles, purchases, or just anything that catches your eye. Also any tips for a newbie to the Steam sale is appreciated. I'm going to look through the store and post the games I plan to get and keeping my eye on for a price drop and post them here.

The sales have not started yet. They'll be here soon though, likely within the next week.
Also, PS3Freak, I sent you a friend request on steam but I don't ever see you online. Did you decline it?Last edited by Rapture; 06-29-2012 at 01:56.

Your's the one with the pony avatar? Nerevar or something like that. If so I accepted I just don't have much on there atm so I'm really not playing much plus Metro has to update some 150 mbs and I can't handle that with my broadband limit. Once I update Metro and get some games through the sale I'll be on more. I've mostly just been playing Diablo 3 since I got my pc. If that wasn't you then I will log on and accept the invite. Gonna get on Steam in a few and check my invites since I haven't logged on since joing the PSU group.
Also It's not really a summer sale but L.A Noire bundle was 75% off. I'm sure everyone saw.

No, that was me. I somehow overlooked your name twice, so my bad. Are you going to change your name to something a bit more formal at any point? (Steam supports account nicknames)

Anyone hear anymore rumors on when this is supposed to start? Hopefully next week because I'm going to stay with my buddy for a few days and hopefully going to be playing some new games! Also thinking that we need to get a sticky for PC game deals in the section. There are always so many great deals on PC game I easily miss them.
Edit: Apparently Amazon is going to be running a big PC game sale starting tomorrow. Looks like they are going to try to rival Steam's sales. Although the prices aren't eye popping, it's something.

Either this week or the next. I don't think anyone knows the exact date.

Anyone think that I should jump on this deal or wait until the Steam sale. I would like Amnesia on Steam for achievements and what not but this is a great deal for all the games. Don't know much about Sanctum and Frozen Synapse but $9 for all those games seems like a great deal to me.

I say jump on it. Amnesia alone is worth that price. I don't know if purchasing from that site grants you a key for the games to be used on Steam, though.

No Gamefly has their own client like steam. Not very advanced but they usually offer pretty good prices. I've had many suggestions for Amnesia and Limbo which I doubt I could get on Steam together for that price alone. The other 3 games are just a plus tbh because I really don't care much about them. You've played up Amnesia enough that I want it really bad!

That's what I was about to say. It's a shame that he missed that Bundle. PS3Freak, you might want to bookmark this site http://www.humblebundle.com/ and check it maybe once a week. They offer amazing deals at times.
Do you need a client software for the games bought from them or do they just install into their own directories? I advise not juggling multiple software platforms on the PS3 because it just ends up being annoying.-No Feeble Cheering-

You have to download them through the client but you can go into the program file and create a short cut to the .exe file and play without having to start it through the client. Although the client has to be on your PC to work because it verifies the game through the Gamefly client. I bought The Witcher off of there. That is what I did.
Thanks for the reference. I just made the thread I was talking about. I'm so sick of missing out on good deals. I know what you mean about the multiple platforms. I have Gamefly, Steam, and Origin on my PC. Although I don't have anything on Origin, I have it just in case.
