We were just engaged in a pretty gnarly discussion, here at the PSU towers. Today is Friday, and The Walking Dead Episode 2 is coming out on PSN (for whatever odd reason). Not that we care; we just wanted Episode two asap.
So straight to the point: Are Friday nights better for PlayStation Network game releases?
Would you rather start a new game on a Friday night, when you know you might not have to wake up early the next day? Don’t people usually have more time on Fridays?
What good is having a game released early in the week? Is getting games a day earlier than Xbox 360 owners the only benefit?

I don't care about getting games earlier than 360, really. When I DO care is when developers do timed exclusive DLC. That's when I refuse to support such fucking stupid business practices by never ever getting the content. However, I agree that friday night releases are better due to the weekend being the only time when I can really sink my time into a game. Being my internet so slough though, I'd have to download the game thursday afternoon to get it ready for friday night

I never did like the updates being on Tuesday here in the States. I would very much rather it was on Friday night.

Why does the official day need to be 'friday' when you can just decide for yourself that you will check the PSN store on friday. Simple.

Friday is actually a bad night for me because it's the start of the weekend and i'm usually hanging out with friends and going out.
Monday through Thursday is when i do the bulk of my gaming.
