Nintendo: Wii U online functionality will be free

If someone is offering an optional service for a cost, I see no problem paying for services rendered. Luckily for us, Xbox Live is more than just a "internet" connection. It's a full fledged service. Just because I pay for my ISP already, should I get all the other services on the internet for free? If that were the case, the internet would be closed.

If PSN was a paid for service, I too would pay for that annually if it was at the same level as XBL. PSN "as is" right now, I would pay $25 a year for if they implemented an annual fee.

Well yeah for some games it's rubbish i agree but with some games like mario kart for exxample it's very solid

but yeah about the downloads and addings they need to change that

would love a mario kart with a good online service im always playing mario kart 7 online with my 3ds

Yeah, that's why I said the 3DS fixed a lot of the Wii's problems, and it's looking good for the Wii U. But because the general consensus is that Nintendo sucks at doing online, it's not smart to charge at this time.
