Aight. Have you guys all heard about this movie Magic Mike? if not, its basically porn for women. Movie about stripper dudes...fill in the blanks. The thing that has me so disturbed about this movie is all of my female coworkers have become drooling horny school girls. Couple this with the 50 shades of grey they all seem to be talking about now, i seriously just had to say WTF!?! there is such a double standard going on here. The women are openly and unabashedly disusing the BJ scenes in the books and then going to see a movie about strippers. They even seem to be proud of it! If some men got together and started talking about some porno or gawking at some hot woman swaggering by, we would get the death stare. (you men know the ferocity of the death stare). One, i want my coworkers to stop being so horny...women are supposed to be the classy ones. Second, I want a blank check for ogling for one week. /rant.

Supposedly the movie is actually pretty good. And I don't see how women ogling Channing Tatum is any different than us guys ogling someone like Kate Upton or Olivia Wilde.

There is no difference. The only thing that has changed is we are expected to live with their drooling and dong jokes, and if i make one comment on the fine status of some women's ass i'll get chastised.

Mate, my ex used to be terrible for this. Couldn't even watch TV without her making some dumbass comment about how I'm 'ogling' the woman on screen. American Idol was the worst. Used to be some damn fine women on there but I weren't allowed to watch it because she'd kick off everytime a girl came on screen. And yet I put up with her drooling over Edward and Jacob from Twilight. Double standards, and all that.

Probably not. Its an untapped market. That is for sure, but the novelty will probably ware off. It might spawn some cheesy knockoffs, but who knows.

I could not agree with you more, BTBAM. It's an entirely sexist society. There should be fucking mens clubs and movements like feminism, but there isn't, because we're better than that. Still, would be nice if that would happen, except it would be a total sausage fest.

Yea...honestly I'd be happy to return to stays quo. Women kept it in their pants etc etc. I'm sure things will calm down after this week. I just had a dafaq? Moment when like every woman I know was suddenly openly gossiping about mens bodies and how awesome strippers are.

If you have a sexy co-worker or hot secretary, tell them "nice legs baby" or "nice tits" but before doing this, setup a hidden camera recording them chatting and being wet about Magic Mike, and then do a POV video of you saying that to them to see their hypocritical reaction. Then be like "but if I was Matt Mcounaghey, you would be fine if I degraded you?"

I doubt Soderbergh made this for the sex appeal. It seems like with Magic Mike, he wanted to tell the story of a guy who happened to be a male stripper, and Channing Tatum actually WAS a male stripper before he made it in the acting business so it made some sense for him to play the lead role, plus Soderbergh likes picking unorthodox leads, like Sasha Grey in The Girlfriend Experience.

According to this guy, most of the girls who watched it, didn't like it....

Point in fact, the theater I saw this film in was packed with women of all ages, very few of who seemed pleased as they left the theater. Magic Mike isn’t a chick flick, nor is it a Boys Gone Wild romp. It’s an endearing character study that ranks among the best films released so far this year. It is, for me, completely unmissable."

I only heard about that 50 Shades of Grey book a couple of days ago..some guy wrote an article predicting the next big baby boom being caused because of it...apparently it is making women incredibly horny.

Once again, western society's feminist movement isn't about equality of the sexes (as they would have us believe). It's basically all about female empowerment that is all about, more or less, about putting women above men. Some misguided sense of vengeance.

Yes, you are right. Women would deride a man for doing these things, and probably get all frustrated and shake her head.

My girlfriend went to see it with her co workers.

Its basically a "female stripper" story but with guys instead of chicks. From the story my girlfriend told me, me having dated a female stripper in the past (word of advise DONT they are NUTZ) the story was familiar to me lol

Why are you upset. My wife went and saw it. She also read the 50 shades of grey books. Fact is anything that gets her thinking about sex is a GOOD thing!!!! Maybe my wife is different because she doesn't oogle guys and get turned on thinking about dongs...to be honest I think she is scared of them because of how most women have been brought up but like most women getting them in the mood is incredibly difficult....when it is the man's idea to have sex they seem put off by it...but when it is them thinking about it on their own and initiating it...wow is it a whole different experience. Anything that encourages my wife to think about it means more and better sex for me. If I thought there was a movie that had a hot scenes that she would get some eye candy thinking about just makes her then think about me. (not that i'm tatum channing hot but definately worthy of her attention)

Look...its all good man...they get a little flushed over that stuff and suddenly you walk by with your strong masculine scent and body and trust me they will have a thought or give a look they probably wouldn't have even imagined before. This is a good thing!
