Religion: Does It Matter In Politics

Romney is a Mormon. Obama is a Muslim, no, he's a Christian. My question is: does it even matter?

That's what I'm asking you guys. It came up in a conversation with a friend the other day. Does your opinion of politicians base itself, even in part, on their religion?

Me personally, it's a no. I'd vote for a Satanist if I agreed with his policies.

No, religion should hold no place outside the places they are practiced..and their views shouldn't be forced on others. I don't care what anyone believes in, they have that right..just don't let it affect your job.

Religion has no business being in Government, because government should be run as a business, not a charity house.

No. Religion does not belong in politics anymore than it needs to be. Time and time again it has shown to be negative and counterproductive.

Allowances have been made as long as it stays civil. And this isn't really about religion, as much as it is why religion should not be in government.

Any member trolling, flaming or being outright disrespectful in a political topic will be infracted without warning. In addition, the amount of infraction points issued for any unacceptable behavior in these threads is higher than it is elsewhere in the forum.
