That would be my point, you seem to find something unacceptable, when we simply dont even know why. It doesnt affect me, being a HDD owner, but I am certainly going to be looking at "why" when the game comes out. They have put the line in the sand, and its going to be up to them to justify it. But I never judge a game before it has arrived, and I certianly dont begruded someone who is trying to get the most they can out of a system. @A7MAD -The first game I've seen leverage the HDD oustide of simple content was Ghost Recon:FS, if you have a HDD you can get enhanced sound by optionally installing the sound content. It takes skill, you can kill with any weapon you have in you hand, if you know how to use it right, and it does not mater what the other player has, its about how you handle the weapon. A kill takes more than a second to acheive. I'm not sure what you find great with COD, but having tinkered with MW3 over the past few weeks I can say this, from my experience. 1/COD make you feel empowed because a kill is easy to get, its also easy to receive. 2/COD can be played in two ways. Sit on your arse waiitng for someon to run past, or run around stambling on someone with thier back turned -a fluke kill. 3/All the COD kills took me less than a second to acheive, and vica vera, their is no chance to respond to an attacker.They see you first , they get the first shot off..your dead. Im unsure were the supposed skill is in COD, most of the players that rise to the top of games, generally do this on the back of the perks such airstrikes etc I'll take a fight that might take 3-8 seconds of battle over a shoot bang your dead game. Halo requires quick reflexes and the abilty to counter an attack. And just for the record, I actually prefer Gears 3 mulitplayer over either but Halo runs a close second.
    Wish I could rep you but theres no rep button and I cant use the like/dislike function with this browser. lol But like you I'll take Halo and Gears MP over COD MP anyday for the very reasons that you listed.

I like how people who are stating "This isn't so bad, people getting upset with this are obviously morons. etc. etc." are the very same ones that harp about mandatory installs for PS3 and how loathsome they are. Double standards galore on here these days. But it's all good. lol I think we are all used to it at this point in the game. When it comes to mandatory installs for other consoles in the near future, we'll see what these very same posters have to say. Rest assured I'll be there to fire off quotes from this thread.
    Well they eventually sorted the Reach issue, but yeah that was not good, I dont think it was on purpose, more an oversight (rember when Halo 3 played worse when installed to the HDD). No one is calling any one a moron either, but if you can afford Halo 4, you can probably afford a flash memory stick to go with it.
    And at least they have given people fair warning, unlike the Reach problem.

    I dont think anyone harps on about mandatory installs, I do find it it funny when people suggest that its for any other reason than the fact that BR is so dam slow however.
    If you think mandatory installs are the future in the next gen, then I hope your wrong, because it will mean we havent got ourselves any faster media options, and while I'm fine for things like DLC and "enhanced" streaming options to be optional, and if the game itself uses the HDD for recording or whatever, but I really really hope we can get away from using the HDD as an install space fo rthe main game.
    Games are like woman, what you might find attractive I might not, and none of us know if we really like them untill we have played around with them for a while.

    I have the game but wasn't aware of that because I installed the entire game to the HDD before I even played it.

    Lol, so do I but I bought it at lunchtime and rushed home to have a play, so didn't bother to install, was shocked to see the message pop up.

    @Mynd.

    I'll have to delete the install and check this out.

    Yep. If you've got the space, installing is the best way to go on 360. Love that feature (moreso because of how annoyingly loud the dvd drive can get)

    Agreed, the drives on these consoles these days spinning and stopping began getting on my nerves a few years ago, the timing for optional installs was well timed imo.
