Red Dead Redemption Undead Nightmare Questions

    1. Is Undead Nightmare an alternative story to play through? Or is it a story within the main story? I'm kind of confused about what it is.

    2. Is Undead Nightmare harder than 'Hard Mode"?

The reasons why I'm asking all these questions is because I recently purchased Red Dead Redemption Game of the Year Edition. I want to say thank you to the PSU members who recommended this game to me. Wow, I can't believe I almost missed out on this game. It is so fun and addictive! I'm officially hooked!

It is a damn good game.

And its just an alternate universe kind of thing to my knowledge. Like CoD zombies.

I also think you can select its difficulty IIRC. It isn't hard.

Is basically a dream, not connected that much to the main story.

Its still open world and worth every singly penny, just an incredible experience. This is what real DLC should be like. It is pretty hard too but nothing that will cause you to die many times.

Yes, mostly unrelated but it does include some of the characters you'll meet while playing the campaign on RDR. Not much of a spoiler though but since you've got both RDR and UN I'd recommend playing RDR first and then UN after that since it's a bit more fun imo.

Yes RDR should be played first, you will understand the roles of the characters you meet in UN more.

Its basically an expansion pack, loosely tied with the main game, like all other games that have expansion packs.

Thank you guys. I look forward to completing it seeing why people say Red Dead Redemption is one of the best games this gen.

Oh yeah, anyone reading this thread and want to get Red Dead Redemption, I recommend you just fork over a little more cash for Game of the Year Edition. Go ahead and get everything in one go.

Out of all the zombie games I've played, Red Dead did it right for me next to, Yakuza: Dead Souls. Have fun trying to catch the unicorn!.

I always wait for GOTY editions, not just because they include all the expansions, but because they always come with all the patches on the disc too, ever since Morrowind GOTY edition.

Undead is indeed up there for me. I also like Left 4 Dead and Dead Island as my top 3 zombie games.

One last question, how long is the regular game and undead nightmare? I'm playing the regular game and doing S, W, and Irish missions. How far am I into the game or have I barely scratched the surface?
