2 years in jail.... forfeits millions of dollars... and forfeited 2 years of his football legacy...
yeah he paid what he owed.
His crime was disgusting... but at the end of the day, dogs aren't people. And there are cultures in the world where (animal) fighting is not a big deal...

I am stunned that some people appear to love their Playstation(1,2,3) or Xbox(360) more than I love the Denver Broncos.
Trust me, it's sad

Don't know him, his colour or the sport he plays for but 2 years is not long enough and this guy needs help.
I know dogs aren't people, but this dog just like us humans woke up in life, a really shit one. It didn't have to end this way.Last edited by mickice; 07-10-2012 at 00:13.

Shouldn't have went to jail, period. The things that's done in this world make his animal killings inferior. I'm not condoning his activities, but let's be real here. There are a lot worse things that are done. You got Lindsay Lohan walking up and down the road coked-up having accidents almost killing people, but she gets 3 months in "jail" while 2 of the months are suspended and she's on probation.
People shoot up Ducks, Pigeons, animal crackers and the like, but because Vick kills dogs there is a difference? 2 years was a travesty and he shouldn't have done that. Only reason he was arrested was because the government ain't get their cut through taxes. lulzJune 10th, 2013 - The day Big Boss went heel

Dogs in this country have more rights than people in other countries.

Dont know who this clown is, and I dont care. But forcing animals to fight, or harming them yourself, is complete bull and no punishment is enough.

No, the punishment was too little for the crime. << That's laughable.
Forcing animals to run around an oval is ok? Animal lovers.

Donte Stallworth had more of a penalty than just the 30 days. Either way, it doesn't have anything to do with what Vick did.
What's laughable is when people comment on things they don't know about, or base a lot of comments on comparing penalties to other crimes by other people.
There's a huge difference in having evidence to prove someone was guilty of a crime, vs. not having the evidence needed for a guilty verdict.

I know it has nothing to do with what Vick did. It was my reasoning for choosing what I did in the poll. Yes Dante paid a lot of money and served 30 days. And I know all about the court system. Just because someone is innocent (Casey Anthony), that does not mean that they are........
You can try to convince me that Vick did much worse than them till you are blue in the face, but my opinion stands. Mike Vick has done much less than many out there which received a much smaller sentence.

the NFL is garbage for anyone to find role models, fuck 'em all

Let's be honest: You sleep with anything that walks on two legs. Sometimes, you're not even that discriminating

Hard to say since I can't recall the last time a rich white guy had an operation like Vick had, apparently they are in to things like golf, horse racing, riding on yachts. I think the perception is they wouldn't have spent 2 years in jail, but it's also the perception that dog fighting isn't a traditional past time of white folks (not that none do it, but it's not something that is as common as it is with the black culture).
All that aside, there have been people that were sentenced to much longer prison terms than Vick for dog fighting, so I'd have to say he got off easy."you are both the product and the architect of your environment"

It doesn't have anything to do with what Vick did, what he was penalized for, etc. Dude, just google the Donte case, read about it. After you know it all, it STILL doesn't have a single thing to do with Vicks crime, or punishment. If you want to compare it, find someone else that did the same thing. Otherwise, you're creating a mess for your own thoughts about it. There are so many crimes that are less penalized than other crimes, etc., etc.

Straight to the point, yes Vick was punished way too long for this imo. maybe 4months prison time, Suspended from NFL a season or 2, 2000 community hours, and his right to buy pets revoked or something.
With how bad a lot of other things are in the world with human on human violence with people getting slack, Straight up 2 years rotting in prison was too long imo.
And i'm done right there

Way too little. Though I am the kind of person who cares more about an animal dying in a movie than a human.

Are you even reading my posts? I am very aware that it has nothing to do with Vicks case. Not a damn thing anyone says outside of his case has anything to do with him. I am ONLY using other examples to explain why I felt Vicks punishment was too harsh. I feel like a broken record now lol.
Want something more towards Vicks case? The US Marine that tossed a puppy over the cliff and recorded it with his phone. How much time did he spend in prison? Ya, he didn't.
I will use whatever examples I want to explain why Vick was punished too harshly. These are dogs with an average life of maybe 12-15yrs. My other examples are of real people that live a hell of a lot longer. We live in a country where animal killing serves more time than killing people.
Hey I love lobsters! Yet people boil them alive! That sounds cruel as hell to me. But since we like to eat them I guess it is ok to torture them......
