I am trying to use the Hori PS3 steering wheel for the game Split Second, and all the controls seem to work fine, except for the R2 and L2 buttons. These, of course, are the buttons that are needed to make the car go...can anyone help me? Am I doing something wrong?

Another note - When I use the wheel on the game Need for Speed: Shift, it works fine.

Yes i can help you do you have the latest firmware update installed on your ps3 then you nailed out certain titles with use of the racing wheel let me explain what happened see sony in a effort to stop illegal controller sales from china using a pirated ps3 controller firmware sony updated the firmware updates to detect the firmware however it's not 100% effective and ended up blocking certain controller commands instead like my racing wheel where the peddles dont work because the firmware update nails out my pedals however there is a company that has a fix but it is going to cost you 19.99 to do it eagle 3 same company that produces the playstation move robocop gun came up with a new racing wheel that doesn't get blacklisted however there are no peddles and it looks like a dual shock except it has a racing wheel on it's face it's called a HKS ps3 controller and it works flawless for games like split second and even need for speed i lost 2 racing wheels because of this firmware update one was the cheaper thrust master for ps3 at only 30.00 it was the cheapest wheel around the second was a gamestop racing wheel why do you think gamestop dropped the price tag it only works on certain consoles
