* If done correctly it should show: A . ..
* Now sign out then sign back in (You may need Auto Sign in on), Now your appearing offline to everyone else. You wont be able to receieve Message, Game Invites, Chat Invites and well anything involving recieving, But i think you can send messages.
You'll notice when you sign in it will just be your PSN ID that shows for a while, then all your friends load but are offline and have no last online time, and to make things back to normal and go back online just delete your comment.
and thats how to appear offline, doing this makes me wonder is there any other little tricks like this we dont know about?

Can it also work if you just plug a keyboard in then type

I never understood why you couldn't set your status to offline on PSN. You can on Xbox Live but i guess you get what you pay for!
Then again PSN tells you when your friends sign offline. Xbox Live doesn't..

Well I only 10 friends or so. And never get any messages, so maybe that's why I don't think it's such a big deal

Dear Sony
Since you are always releasing small firmware updates after a large one and so on so forth why not just add a tiny tiny feature that give me the option to the above wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiith just a press of the triangle on my PSN ID scrool across to APPEAR OFFLINE and hit X and I'll be happy.
Or has MicroSoft patented that too
