Yep, I've got it and it is addictive! I'm only about 4 hours or so in but I can feel myself getting sucked in. Not played a JRPG in a long long time either, infact the only recent RPG's i've played are fallout/dead island which are more action orientated anyway.
If old school rpg's are your thing, then get it!

EDIT: Anyone know if Rainbow Moon is as good or better then Vandal Hearts on PSN? Not played many strategy RPGs.. but I really enjoyed that one and Jeanne d'Arc on PSP.

I just looked into it and I could see myself really getting into that game. I haven't played a good SRPG in awhile.

Was super excited when they announced this and it looks like a solid game, especially for the price. If I didn't already have way too much to play I'd be on this right now. Having said that, it's got a limited time PS+ discount of £2 making it £7.99 which is a damn bargain, so we'll see..

Yes, get it! Its a must, whether you like old school or new school RPGs this one is one you have to try because I love new school RPGs more, and I got this to try it out and it just got addictive as soon as I started playing it!

Special thanks to zzKurozz for the Signature and Avatar!

I bought this with the PS+ and i haven't got very far. Never really been a fan of turn based games and i never played Final Fantasy. But so far I'm really enjoying this.
If you do like this sort of game it should be on your to buy list! But even if you don't its worth a go.

how turned based its it??? I know a funny question but like Final Fantasy turn based?
Are there any companions?
If so......
Do you get to choose what each character is going to do for their turn and then it plays out?
Menu-driven turn based or action based?Hard work never killed nobody but I ain't taking any chances

I'm unsure how the turn based games work for Final Fantasy games but with this, once you're in battle you are in a field and you have actions like move, attack, defend, item. You have to move to a square next to the monster to attack it. so you have 2 actions per turn so you can like move 2 square to get close enough to attack or if your close enough you can move one square and attack once. If your right next to the monster you can attack twice.
If you are surrounded by monsters you can choose to hit one monster and then hit a different monster if you like. If you can have more characters in one game I don't know so you can come up against you vs 7 monsters.
Hope this explains it.Last edited by Spacedeck; 07-19-2012 at 11:30.

The turn based is more akin to old school games. The more you level up, the more sub-turns you get. In my game, Baldren is currently lvl 54 and has 5 sub turns, so, he can use 1 to move up to an enemy and 5 to attack it, or I use 4 to 3 to attack and one to defend. Defending is crazy over powered, but it's need to survive later on.

Bought this last week, not far in to it but i am really enjoying it. The battles play a little Final Fantasy Tactics and there seems to be loads of side quests along with the main quest.
As someone has already stated the amount of content u get for the price is great value. Highly recommended

For those with the game, any of you try the different difficulties? Would you consider this game hard?

I chose to do it on hard difficulty (there was only normal or hard to choose from). But you also get to choose your play style and depending which you choose, you get equipment, coins, a starter kit or nothing at all.
I am only 4 hours in so it is difficult to judge if the game is hard. What I have noticed is, you have to grind a lot to get your character's levels up to beat certain enemies. Although this could be resolved by changing the difficulties.
Hope that helps

That does help. I don't mind grinding in games either. I'm just curious if the hard difficulty actually makes you think about your turns.
