Following some basic layout changes, there will be a rule overhaul as well

plus one surprise forum is yet to be opened.

I hope the rule overhaul doesn't make the forums strict.. I've always come back here for the laid back environment to post. If I wanted strictness I would stay on GAF.

Is it possible to take the Xbox 360 section out of the other platforms section and make it available by one click? It has always been a high selling platform so it's always been one click away. (this is a big move..it's been like this ever since I've been on the forums I believe)

Well my intent is that we are making it clear we are a PS3 forum (and PS overall), so that is why I put the 360 into a subforum as such.

If the community asks for it, I can put the 360 area back as a forum.

I thought it's always been clear that it was was a Playstation forum but a lot of users have both consoles so it was nice to see what threads are most recent in the 360 section and have it one click away when we talked about Phil Harrison moving to MS Europe, or the reveals for Halo 4 (more coming this week) etc..

This forum will always be about Playstation but since a lot of users have both it's been one click away for I believe for 6-7 years.

My Suggestion:
Xbox 360 Section
All Other Platforms

Why you wanna do away with the Nintendo section? It gets a good amout of traffic.

I like the new changes. I'm excited for what's ahead.

I dunno, if 360 gets out of other games, then so should Nintendo and PC, which kind of defeats the whole purpose. They are all still just a click away as before though, and I like the stream lined look of the forum now personally.

Remarkably, I feel the same as you.. but recently a string of comments had come to my PM and Email saying they would have joined the site, but it seemed we didn't focus on the PS brand. I want the forums to reflect how we are. our focus hasn't changed, but the forums needed to more accurately reflect the site.

I have no objection to moving the 360 section back

That's odd, most activity has always been in the Playstation section and I love it (Shin Asura's threads

).. if seeing other platform names on the main page (even if it is below the numerous Playstation sections) makes them nauseous enough to not join, it seems like they wouldn't have contributed meaningfully anyways.

I would love for the PC/Nintendo sections to be one click away too... I mean this forum will always be PSU. Always be Playstation.

Having the 360 on its own would look like there's a bias for Microsoft. Or rather, against Nintendo.

Edit: Like Ghost-Rhayne said, you might as well move them all out, defeating the purpose of this move. Or leave it as is

Double Edit: All that being said, having the 360 out isn't gonna stop me from posting and enjoying the site

This 'surprise forum' isn't the PlayStation 4 discussion forum, is it? Because if it is, well, it's not much of a surprise. It was inevitable that we'd want a forum to discuss Sony's next console. If it isn't that forum, can you give us any clues as to what it might be?

I see that the main reason people are voting against the 360 section is because they are big fans of the Nintendo/PC Sections.. and I think those sections should be back as well personally.. I mean we have a good community that is Primarily interested in Playstation.. but also have other loves they need to talk about like Nintendo/PC.

Boggles my mind how people would be such die hard fans that they wouldn't join a forum because other platforms are discussed as if people are supposed to only love one platform?

All those forums are still one click away. You don't have to go into the other gaming forum to access them, just click on the sub forum headings.

They are one click away but I always liked seeing if there were any new threads in there personally on the side. I mainly lurk the gaming side for news on the various consoles so you probably haven't seen me post much in those sections.

Ah well then it seems RIP PC/Nintendo/360 sections and a new era of the all other platforms section then.

I mostly post in off-topic anyways and only Lurk Shin Asura's threads/Japanese Games threads in the PS3 Games sections and the news in the Nintendo/360/PC sections so as a lurker who is interested in news this hurts me but I guess it's what the Community wants.
