Thank you to Cuguy and any other of the staff who played a part in the re-organisation of the site, I think it's great and thanks also for the "PSU Fanboy Allstars Battle Royal" section (this should be the name of that section lol), it's a fun addition.

Fun is what I was shooting for. A place to let off a little steam.

So far, it has been a great success! You guys all seem to be jibing each other pretty good, but keeping it level headed. Awesome work.

The forums were awesome then but still are now.

I miss seeing some of the old school posters such as Aleman, Xaor, Lefein, Siren, AJJets, Dasimpse, Staticneuron, Galvanise_, MR_T, Stewie Skywalker and others...

All those names make me feel old.

We had such great members A7Mad ... and its really the reason I joined this forum in 06.. I loved my ps2/PSP and had every PlayStation product BUT I also was interested in the Wii/360 and discussing them.

My post quality sucked in the beginning since I was just a 15 year old first time in a forum but PS3Portal got me in.

PS3Portal/PS3Land.

I am Sad to see the equal footing/real estate for all consoles policy go.. but I guess if users get offended by seeing other platforms.. I guess the community has spoken.

I joined through PS3Portal and PS3Land too! Shortly after the PS3 was announced, I just couldn't get enough news.

This forum helped a lot.

Fanboy throwdown forums are now active!

Please read the rules and have some fun. This is an experiment to see how popular this is. If it dies, or people aren't having fun with it, then it will just disappear.

We haven't done anything like this before, allowing blatant fanboyism, so let's see how this goes!

NO personal attacks
NO blind trolling - back up each and every post you make. You say something like "PS3 sux" and don't expand on why, I will consider banning you from these discussions.
NO one word, two word replies. I agree and THIS are not answers. They are spam here. Each post much elaborate. This is a debate, not a troll thread. Be a fanboy here, but make sure you explain your post.
The graphics thread is for graphics, the other thread is for hardware. Simple. Never should the two meet. You can discuss the capabilities of the graphics hardware in the PS3/360 thread but not with screen shots.

I remember all of those members too. They were all great posters in their own unique way. Siren's vast knowledge was greatly appreciate on this forum, and his wisdom helped inform me of many things during his tenure. Being a former MS employee sure gave him an inside scoop, as well as heaps of knowledge in key areas.

Remarkably, I feel the same as you.. but recently a string of comments had come to my PM and Email saying they would have joined the site, but it seemed we didn't focus on the PS brand. I want the forums to reflect how we are. our focus hasn't changed, but the forums needed to more accurately reflect the site.

BUUUuuT I see you have an Xbox sub forum and I reeeealllly just have to question your guys dedication." I guess in a way that's pretty typical. I wouldn't expect things to be any different than they were years ago when the sections would spill into each other and everyone just "Trolled" away. You said one thing about Xbox or Playstation in the opposite forum you ignited a war. That was a good time to be SMC.

I would just like to say I like all the small changes to the forums. Like the new look. I'm divided on the whole fanboy throwdown section, but at the same time, I'm not bothered by it. Some good laughs there, but hopefully doesn't get abused.
