Just a quick FYI.

There will be lots of forum shifts and changes coming in the next week or so. Some forums will be new, some will go away, some will be merged/condensed.

I am asking for a little patience while I get the moves done. Don't PM admin asking where a forum went. If it is gone, it is gone. It takes a small measure of work to make the changes we are going to do, so if something is gone, it is meant to be gone.

We are going to make a lot of changes. For the better hopefully. I am sure lots of our readers will embrace the changes, some will reject them. For those who don't like the changes, I apologize but they need to be done.

Trust me, what CU is doing this for the good of PSU, some might not like it, but try and embrace it. Thats all i can say till he does what he needs to do

The way I see it is this. PSU, in it's current form, is neither a multiplatform forum nor a PS3-exclusive forum. The way you are wording these changes makes it sound like a formal decision has been made by the PSU staff and have decided to take the forum in either one of those two directions. I'm happy with either direction but I can see why you think there may be some backlash.

IMO, PSU is first and foremost, a Playstation website. I personally believe the forum should follow suit with the main news page. So if the direction is to become more Playstation focused in the forums, I will applaud such a change.

As a side note, I am also cleaning house on dead forums. If people see a noticeable post count decrease, it is because i am purging several year old dead forums.

I doubt anyone will see a shift in post count, but if so, that is why.

As long as the off-topic section is the same (brilliant layout currently of it) and the 360/PC/Nintendo sections are still prominent and one click away it should be fine.

Multiplatform section is the one I never visited personally.

Personally I think the psu.com section needs to be MUCH smaller ... we come here for the ps3 section not PSU. (Psu.com already on banner and main page)

As you might have noticed by now, the Other Gaming Chat section has been restructured to make it easier to navigate while still keeping a large emphasis on PlayStation content as a whole for the site. A couple subforums have been added to the PS3 Games section as well.

So are these restructures the majority of the changes. Or are there more than simple layout changes?
